Lots of Kilmarnock and Cumnock

Hello everyone, hope you are all good. OK the last thing you all got was Tommy Bowe. Well after that we had the Dinner Dance at the Dumfries Arms and I took a short video of who was getting presented what. Campbell is the captain now so I hope for great things with him. We are starting in West Division 4 next season but I have made it clear I wont be around training on Tuesdays and Thursdays for seniors. I know what I want to do now and with the team of coaches around the seniors that means I can focus on something else. On the 2nd of June I went to Kilmarnock Dirty weekender where the Lafontaines were playing and a number of others. I had great fun but waiting around an hour for my taxi home wasn't great, but it did help clear my head for rugby the next day. Moving onto Friday there I went back to Kilmarnock to see the #olympictorch. Now I had put my twitter on public and got somebody asking for a 200 word blog on it, I don't think they used it so here it is
So the Olympic torch has been through Kilmarnock and it was a great event and might just get more people interested in the olympics this year. I got there very early, 10am and there wasn’t a lot about then. I went back around 11am and they started putting the cones out. Initially I thought it would be for the torch to go along that way, but quickly it became apparent they were for the crowds that were expected and they needed it. Now I use twitter and was keeping upto date to see where the torch was. I already knew it was going down to new running track, but didn’t realise it would take as long, even the people beside me wanted to know. The first set of buses came 5 minutes before the torch which I wish wasn’t that long between them. So when the 2nd set of transport came and they closed John Finnie Street to traffic I got my video going. The Torchbearer wasn’t walking and kept a good pace along a long street. Everyone was cheering and some of the younger ones tried to keep up. It was great to see.
I also took a video Then Saturday night I was at Cumnock Town hall for Cumnock Music Festivals first night. Cheesy started the night and he was great, I loved his set. I also enjoyed Joe Deacon and QFX. Now because I had rugby next day and had enough partying I left unfortunately before Colin Mcardle. I did feel the benefit the next morning. Sunday I went away to Kilmarnock for rugby. Kilmarnock Mini Festival was on. Now Rab, David and me were coaching with Cumnock P4 (tartancat, IT WASN'T FOOTBALL) and the boys never lost a game and we won the tournament. Lets just say I was very happy for the performances they put in. As for future plans I have bought a ticket to olympic football at Hampden and now I have to say I am seeing Steps and Wet, Wet, Wet in July. Everyone have a great time out there.

story on @tommybowe14 and Men In Black 3

Hello, well Tommy Bowe came yesterday and I was down quiet early. The team with Tommy wanted a photo with School of Rugby, which they got and somebody after the Q&A said I should get a photo. Tober took the photograph of me and Tommy on my phone after a quick lesson.
As I said in Instagram it was Tommy (me) and Tommybowe After that we were back at the club and I left club after 8pm. Unfortunately some of the senior players came down at 6pm, just after Tommy left. Today I collected my Kilt and gear for tomorrow (it was heavy) and I have been and seen Men In Black 3 at Kilmarnock. Will Smith in interviews was right about the end, I was surprised. Tonight is AGM for Micro/Mini/Midi so I am heading there soon. Hope you like this short blog. Bye for now.

You know that last blog, well @tommybowe14 beat it

On the Monday night at committee meeting we discussed Tommy Bowe coming to Cumnock Rugby Club coming THIS THURSDAY. So lets say after the meeting that night I drafted an email for distribution this morning and article for this event. I did facebook "Coming This Thursday to @cumnockrfc, @tommybowe14. I got texts, DM's, facebook messages from that much. After going to bed around midnight I got up this morning and just around 9am I got my final version which is on this link from Tober. This morning after that I did the usual twitter, facebook, email, intergrated message system on pitchero and printed some posters. After that I put my posters up for a small while today (and enjoying sunshine). So lets just say, I AM EXCITED ABOUT THURSDAY! So apologies to anybody else wanting the usual stuff I do on the internet, Martin, Michael and John, I am having far too much fun at the moment.

This coming week for me @cumnockRFC

Hello everyone, I know I usually don't do rugby too much here, but I am going to make an exception this time and tell you of what is happening around club for me the now, as the webmaster. Yesterday (Sunday) I went down to Irvine and watched our minis playing Irvine and Kilmarnock. I did the primary 4/5 Report as it was quickly arranged the format of games because of the number of players. Then I went back to Cumnock around 11pm and got back as the teams were leaving from s1/2 game. I have to thank them for not needing me during their game. I was then on bar until 8.20pm. I then went out and enjoyed Sonix a bit and seeing Katie, my niece. This morning I had all my match reports and I put them on line. I especially liked Parkie's Report and comments on the bottom. I have also emailed them all into Cumnock Chronicle now, so thats another deadline met. I really appreciate when coaches email me the reports quickly and not after 9am on Mondays, so cheers to Alan, David, Morton and Parkie for speeding sending. Now tonight I have last main committee meeting before Annual General Meeting, thats after Liz Smith's fitness class finishes (no I don't do it). Tomorrow I have somebody checking my boiler at home, so stuck in the morning. Still got the Royal Quiz at night though. Wednesday has a visit to Stuart with video. We also have a quiz in rugby club Wednesday night, which starts at 8.15pm and £150 can still be won. I keep on getting asked by the coaches to join their team, but I am staying with Rodger, Jim, Barclay and the rest of my team. Thursday I have my usual stuff to do in morning and evening more training at 6.30 and seeing as everyone starts then, I dont need to head down 5.45 on bus. Friday during the day is quiet but at night we have the Micro/Mini/Midi AGM in club at 7pm, followed by a committee meeting. Saturday during the day, we don't have any games for seniors (there finished for now) but at night is the Dinner Dance at Dumfries Arms, Tober (the president) is still selling tickets for it. I have hired a kilt from Kenny's in Cumnock for this. This also means I wont be going to Soundclash at TC's or Vendetta in The Sun. It also means as it's in the Dumfries Arms I will enjoy it, I know who top try scorer is (who gets a prize) is Campbell Reid as try scorers is my area (especially for website). Next Sunday there is training, phew! So thats why I say I am the webmaster of Cumnock RFC. Below is the QR Code for Cumnock RFC.

Prince Charles on Reporting Scotland

I got home today to see Prince Charles doing some of the weather in BBC Scotland, so seeing as I think Martin won't let Prince Charles be on Current Buns, I thought I had better blog them myself.
My favourite line was "wrote wrote this **** scrypt" The article on BBC website can be found here. For you who don't know I am very close to Dumfries House and it was that wet at 1pm. Click here for part 2 of my blog

A quieter week

Hello Everyone, I hope people are enjoying my blog more, not sure it will be the same this week.
Well last Wednesday my Mum and Andy moved to Fife. There was lots of help when we did the move. As you can see it emptied quiet quickly. There was a lot of stuff getting moved, but that would after living in 1 place for over 40 years (before I was born). Then I relaxed for the rest of Wednesday even though it did feel wierd being in that house for the last time. Thursday was the normal things to do including the ladies coming down getting everything set on the tables for Ladies Day. There was nothing on Friday so that was fine. I jsut created a couple of Spotify playlists for Ladies day and downloaded them onto my phone. I just relaxed Friday night and did my usual shouting at TC's. I knew Saturday was going to be a long day so I wasn't too late. I was down in rugby club for 11.30am in my shirt and tie (just to look formal). The about 70 ladies present got soup or prawn cocktail. I got told I was having a dinner as well, so I didn't disagree. The soup was warm and did a job. I had the chicken with potatoes (in sauce) and vegetables. It was cooked to perfection, so I enjoyed it. Next we had a speaker on. Jim Morrison from Auchinleck (not to be confused with Jim (Tober) Morrison, the Cumnock RFC President. I quite enjoyed as I had to monitor the mic and speakers were working ok. For a lot of the day I just sat next to sound desk to make sure it worked fine. As I said it was going to be a long day. Jim finished and this is when the games of rugby were scheduled. There was 3 games and the as you can see below I recorded the first game. I enjoyed them, there was a lot of rucks and forward play for 7s rugby, but it was still good. I got back upto the club around 5pm and started the music again and a couple of other things. The raffle took place and we had a band of 2 musicians. The sound worked perfectly I am glad to say and I got to disapear and eat a couple of rolls and facebook my youtube videos so people could view them. I played some more modern fast music when the band took a break and then they did their second half. By this point a lot of people were in the bar. The band finished and I got to disapear just after 10pm. I was up early the next day so got the last bus home and was falling asleep at midnight. Sunday I was going to Glasgow 7s with the club. We got to Scotstoun about 1030am. If you want to see how the U15 girls got on read this match report. It was me that wrote it. It was a long day. I left house around 9am and we got back to Cumnock 9pm. The rugby 7s was of a better standard and even enjoyed the laugh of lots of people cheering on the Kenya team. On Monday I did match report and relaxed during lunchtime. I was at club last night for a meeting of mini/midi committee. Thats where I got my hands on what exact dates were for stuff on in club (which is at top of blog). So do you think that was a quiet week. It certinally was to the week before.

The past week

Well I will carry on from Wednesday of last week. On Wednesday evening I discovered, twitayr was meeting and decided after only eating large breakfast I would goto Ayr that night, so hello to the Michaels, Ben and Iain. Hope your feeling better. The meal we had was quite good at Smiths. I went to get 10.15 bus but there wasn't one. I am sure there was before. I got the 10.35 bus via Mauchline. So got home about 11.30. I stayed up until around 1am and got to bed, tired. Thursday I had anti-coag clinic in morning. It came out fine. I am not there for 8 weeks (yeah). I also changed my next of kin at hospital and GP surgery. My mum and Andy are moving to Fife tomorrow (Wednesday) to be closer to Sally, Alex and Xander. I wish them all luck. To be honest I don't see that much of her. I keep busy with rugby and other things to do, but I am sure I will still see her about. I am sure andy made the right decision. As you may have guessed I didn't want to put this online until now. Thursday evening I had rugby things to deal with, including paying for tour to Aberdeen on Saturday 12th. I am looking forward to this. As previous readers would have discovered I was going to New Media Breakfast on Friday morning. I still don't enjoy getting up at 5.30am, even though I "used to do it". It was good information at the breakfast and enjoyed seeing more new people. I was awake enough to network at 8am even if people don't always like when I say "Auchinleck", but prefer it when I spoke basic stats about facebook to show why a rugby webmaster would goto that. After it finished after 9am I had a bit of time in Glasgow. Now I have seen Captain America, Iron Man, Thor (you know where I am going) so I wanted to see Avengers Assemble. It was starting at Cineworld at 10.15am. It was in 3D but the 3d glasses in there are VERY GOOD. They fitted perfectly infront of my glasses. I would say it is my kind of movie but I did enjoy it and did not mind the near 3 hour movie. The movie finished at 1pm and I headed across the road to Buchanan Bus Station and got 1305 bus to Ayr. I had a lunch with Frank to goto. We went to McCabes. i think it has just been redone. There is a number of pubs which are looking like bars now after redevelopment. I had 3 courses as Breakfast wasnt that large and Frank had two. I had Ministrone Soup, Steak and Ale pie with chips. Now it wasn't a bought in steak pie, this was like a Desperate Dan pie. It was great. I had cheseecake as well, which was very well presented. I would reccomend it. I only paid between us with 1 can of coke each £20 as a total, very reasonable. I headed home to 1545 bus and got home and did Cumnock RFC stuff on the website and facebook. I went down to club in evening, not knowing most of middle of Cumnock had no power. So I had a good night in Cumnock RFC. Saturday I got up and watched WWE Smackdown and put my email on. Bannockburn RFC had been in touch with the club and needed someone to contact, so I phoned them up and discovered it was 1 game, so I text and phone the usual people at 830am and we sorted it out. I had a few things I did in club in morning before anything neeeded done and was busy most of the day with rugby. Bonus was that Cumnock won with some great rugby being played. I enjoyed it. My biggest surprise is how long Bannockburn stayed but I am sure they enjoyed themself. I left a while before them. I watched the voice during the evening and loved Jazz as usual. I headed back to Cumnock to enjoy John McBlain DJing at Cumnock TCs. I didn't wait all night as I wanted to goto Kilmarnock next morning. I also had pre-orders to download from Itunes. So I enjoyed NVS and Starboy Nathan, good singles. I got up around 8am and headed there on bus and we had some great rugby by Cumnock players. I got home at 2pm where there was an orange walk happening and relaxed for a couple of hours. I was in club that evening for the usual Sunday evening. I also went to MadHouse on Sunday evening, Young At Heart are a new band but they wernt really my taste for music. I prefer younger stuff (comes fae the man who went to JLS). I also see the Railway Hotel has been finished and looked very good (another place with a new bar out there). Monday I did my usual posting of match reports online and get them to Chronicle. also had eyes tested, they were fine. I also caught up with telly. I enjoyed most of the Manchester derby. Today I watched WWE raw from last night, it was a bit predictable at times. Tonight I think I will goto Royal Quiz at Cumnock as didn't goto last 2 there. Thursdays when rugby gets busy again. See you all soon.
