I am Thomas, I am the Webmaster (among other things) of Cumnock Rugby Club.
I like TV and cap news (and other stuff sometimes), I like WWE but not soap operas or Jeremy Kyle. Enjoy
hello, well Friday night I went upto Wet Wet Wet at Glasgow Green.
I left at 3.45 fae Auchinleck and got to Buchanan Bus Station 5.15. I got a taxi out to Glasgow Green which was £5.20 I knew at this point the last train was 11.15 from Glasgow Central and it could be close.
I got down to the gig and ran into some mates who went "why are you here", (I hadn't told them) and I go silly question, they asked how I got up, bus and I asked "how are you going back", they drove so got a lift home (great, no trains which I would have missed or night bus and £30 taxi to get home).
Raintown started first at 5.45pm roughly (that was me just there). They won a competition on Real Radio (which I don't get easily unless I use computer). They were very good and a great start to the night. The take aways were about £5 which wasnt that bad. I didn't head to beer tent (lots did which meant VERY LONG WAITS).
Red Sky July were a good county band and wernt bad but it kept the pace going which was very good.
James Walsh finished the warm up acts and he was very good (from Starsailor).
We got Wet Wet Wet at 8.45, they had fireworks and whole stage of graphics, big televisions and Marti and the boys were amazing. If you want a large review on the gig, go someone else. What I do think I think there will be a DVD of the gig (or there should be). The gig finished just after 11pm. Here are my photos from the gig:-
I also did a video of American Pie
The other thing I am going to say Kelly Ann Woodland was reporting from the gig at 6.15pm on STV News and I took a photo of her. I thought Mrs Woodland looked about 5ft 3in and me being 6ft 3in would look tall and I wimped out of asking to get a photo with her. I didn't not know she would be there reporting. I tweeted the picture to currentbunsuk which martin retweeted (cheers) and this morning I have done some caps from Kelly Ann piece on STV News.
So it was a great night. I got to sleep after 2am after a great night.
This is my lovely look north weather calendar with I bought from Paul Mooney in Carlisle and this is what is on it this month.
Well we start with this Saturday, the 7th July and when I goto see Peter Andre and headliners Steps at hamilton Races. On Tuesday their live album appeared on spotify, so I have been geeting ready for it by listening to it and making plans to get their and back (easier than actually doing).
Monday 9th the Rugby Club S2 team have a tea bingo in St Johns Chapel Hall. Tickets £1.00. I might even volunteer to help them. I haven't got a lot of prizes for them or play bingo.
Friday 13th (yeah I know) has the club Annual General Meeting and i hope we get lots of people there.
Next from the Saturday I am going through to see Mum and Andy in Fife at their new home. i haven't actually been to it yet, and this is about the only time I have been able to pencil in.
On Friday 20th I am going to Glasgow Green to see Wet, wet, wet and I am old enough to remember them. Its going to be fun.
Wednesday 25th July is a busy one. Frank and me are going to Sorn Inn (as long as it is open) for lunch. In the evening its the Cumnock RFC Quiz, here is hoping we get back to our winning ways.
Next day is the Olympic Football at Hampden for Spain game. I think I might need to head to Glasgow early especially with all the security precautions being set up. I hope I see some superstars in the Spanish team.
Friday 27th July is a quite morning/afternoon followed by at the opening of Auchinleck Festival and Jai McDowall is the main artist in Auchinleck Indoor bowling club, just down the bottom of the street (easy to walk home then).
So I am going to be busy then. Remember my twitter is on public (which is getting me more replies) so follow me @thomasc1973 but spammers I don't follow or I may even block so don't bother. You can scan my QR code as well.
