Just a quick blog on Sunday

Hello everyone, how are you all.

Well I thought I would talk about what's been happening.

Week past on Wednesday I had bug and didn't do much Thursday or Friday. Thankfully I got back to normal. Our p6/7 got invited to play at Scotstoun Festival a week past in Tuesday. As normal I dealt with admin stuff as that's when bug hit. We took 18 players with us, including new players. We wanted Warriors as a way to get numbers up. I think it has worked so far.

Also the club has had mention in parliament with Townhead Park Rugby Compliant 3G pitch. Lots of things happening with club in future.

Monday we had youth committee meeting, usual length.
Tuesday, it was royal quiz.
Wednesday, I was a bit bored and paid Glasgow a quick visit to do stuff.
Thursday was training and getting ready for Sportsman Dinner.
Friday was sportsman dinner. Gary Armstrong was brilliant. We had soup, steak pie and cheesecake. Wasn't down at club too early and enjoyed it. I decided to do black shirt

Saturday we were away to warriors. The start of the evening was great but when the rain came, it was horrendous. You thankfully don't see me up there on telly.

On the following few days it's WWE at Hydro in Glasgow. Pity Sheamus isn't going on Wednesday.
On Friday it's Wedding Reception, I can't goto McBusted or youth AGM.

So hope you are all good out there.

Thomas.

Some caps from me again and my calendar

So I saw Judith Ralston is on twitter now so here is some from this week. Monday

I do not know if this choice has anything to do with these caps of Sonja Jessup and Kate Kinsella.

another one I took this morning was Louise Minchin

Last one is Reporting Scotland on Monday with Rhona McLeod and Sally McNair

I feel some stuff to say

Hello everyone, this will be a varied one. Lets start with rugby, the seniors 1st XV have won 6/6 league games and even though we moan sometimes about the performance, the boys are still winning. I've been working through some of my roles in rugby club and it means basically Tuesday is the only day I don't have rugby stuff. Last Tuesday I went to Braehead and did some xmas shopping and saw WWE stars put lights on (eventually).
I got home and watched raw as I hadn't had time in morning. On the telly front I am enjoying Arrow on Sky 1 and Elementary on Sky Living. I still record (and watch) Homeland on channel 4 every week as well. On BBC I watched Saturday Night as George Entwhistle resigned. I dont think he should get a full year salary as pay off and Tim Davey wasn't going to say if it was right for him to be paid that, Lord Patten and the 11 others on BBC Board, need to look again into this. I did retweet Suzanne Virdee at weekend, we can't forget all the abuse that happened for decades, even though Newsnight mistakes do need investigating, but it shouldn't sidetrack the child abuse investigation. Right rugby, I am happy that Mark Bennett is on loan to Glasgow Warriors until end of season, to say the least. I have this morning been tweeting that for the club and putting it on our website. Yesterday I went to Scotland vs New Zealand game, after leaving club at 10am, I got to Glasgow 12.10 and got on a bus about 15 minutes later. That was good organisation. I got to Murrayfield around 1.40 and just headed for my seat.
After game I walked from Murrayfield to Edinburgh Bus Station, all those tram works definately don't help. I left Edinburgh Bus Station 6.20pm and got to Glasgow 7.45pm. I got the Kilmarnock bus down and got home at 10.15pm. Lets hope next Saturday is better even though I am staying in Edinburgh Saturday night. So I hope you are all ok out there and see you about.

Hello, quick one today

Right firstly, well done to Cumnock RFC 1st on winning Saturday and the under 15s proving they can run faster on Sunday.

So far its been the usual rugby week. Saturday was busy. Si and Angie came but I didn't get much chance to chat because I was busy with rugby stuff.

Alex Dunsmuir silver wedding was very nice, even if I had to drink lager because beer wasnt good in Dumfries Arms.

Sunday was more rugby, Monday was quick committee meeting, quite enjoyed getting my points across. I even did some website work when I got home.

Tuesday was the usual. It was also announced that james Bunten is away from The Sun Inn, Cumnock. It is a shame. he tried his best. It wont be the same.

Today I am going to Mauchline to do stuff quickly, then away to meet Frank in Ayr for lunch. He is deciding where we are going. Its the rugby club quiz tonight.

WWE Night of Champions wasnt any big shakes. We kinda knew what the results would be. Only trouble is someone who reads my blog is still to see it, so that is where I have to end.

The picture up the top is Victoria Hollins and Wendy Hurrell, which is why I remembered to have my pc on before 8am.

I also sent naz from sky news a video of the weather out there.

So you all have a good day out there.

and dont forget to keep listening to good music

Weddings and other stuff

So how are we all out there again. I know I haven't done this for a few days but I have been busy.

The picture above here on the left is Carol Kirkwood doing the weather but somebody didn't remove Manchester from the graphic for a number of seconds (I was waiting for Wendy Hurrell to come back on).

I can also report the weather report is right and it is raining outside this morning.

So I had better go back a few days. On Thursday I went to dentist at 11am for my teeth to get cleaned professionally. I then went with my 2 bags for the 11.45am bus to Glasgow. We got there at 1.15 as usual. I then got the Glenrothes bus at 1.30 and got there around 3.15pm. I got some wrapping paper to wrap David and Terri's wedding present and went to Leven around 4.10pm and got to sisters around 5pm. We didn't do much that night apart from David arriving late as he had said he would.

I didn't want a late night. I got up at 6.30am and enjoyed my coffee. While the rest of them went to hairdressers/work I just relaxed and got showered. I got changed at 1pm and we went to St Andrews. Alex found the right place and everyone got there nearly on time (Terri was stuck in traffic, but thats allowed).

The ceremony went well and then we went for afternoon tea. I met a lot of people there and had fun. Some photographs happened including me using my phone.

I told David and Terri about my last visit to the Carnoustie on 20th August (yes with rugby) and see them there. I had discovered I could leave Glenrothes at 7.05pm and be home in Auchinleck at 10.10pm that night. So we disapeared after 6.20ish and I got my connection. Everything went well on the journey home.

When I got home I watched Smackdown. It was quite well there recently, but its kinda going back to its normal mode.

Saturday morning. I woke up about 7am. I ironed my shirt, had a bath, shave (the usual) and headed to Cumnock nice and early. I got down to club around 10am. It was a busy day. I wont bore you with the story of all we did, but it was good, if not busy. I left there around 6pm, got my dinner and had another bath before having fun that night.

Sunday was fairly quiet apart from helping at bar in early evening. I made sure Monday I relaxed at home (which I did).

Yesterday I saw Stuart and did my usual Tuesday things.

I think that is everyone upto date.

Thursday 21 July

Hello how are we all today. I hope we are all good. Just a civilised kinda week so far, but it will get busier later on. Hopefully everyone has watched Money In The Bank (Stuart if you haven't stop reading)

WWE the last 2 shows have been briliant. Money In The Bank is the best Pay per view in ages (and it was free on sky as well). Summerslam wont be that good. I dont know if Vince is in charge and thats punk gone. Its probably a storyline but I wont be surprised if it isn't. HHH coming out at the end of Monday night was too predictable.

The ladder matches in MITB were really good. Its a pity that Sin Cara has took drugs and got dropped by the Wellness policy, but its his fault. I want to see who Mark Henry beats up next. I also think Randy will batter Christian up now for spitting on him at MITB, not sure its about that title now especially with the WWE title final next Monday (as it was at the end of Raw on Monday).

I have been having a great laugh at Top Gear recently. Vittel was great, Rowan Atkinson was great. I hope that car from switzerland has been changed that was called the growler. This weeks laugh was launch control and James May having it. I hope they dont use launch control in that nissan at a zebra crossing, oh dear (: for that person.

I saw Harry Potter on Sunday as well. 8/10 I saw the 2d version (I dont like 3d specs ontop of my specs). It was good and I enjoyed it.

Tuesday after training I arrived late at quiz at the royal and we only got joint 3rd. On Wednesday it was the monthly Cumnock RFC quiz and my team won by 9 points the quiz (no we didnt cheat). I got sent up to do play your cards right and we won that as well (yeah). So the 3+1+1+1 (thats what we are called) won the lot. There was a number of teams there so thank you for coming.

Today I am going to the gym later and then training will be on at club from 6.30am for mini/midis and 7pm for seniors. I do the gym so I have had my exercise before the training.

Saturday is bag Pack day and BBQ/karaoke night. Thats going to be long.

You all have a good remainder of the week and weekend.

Update on little old me

I hope we are all good out there, just a quick update from me.

I have my sky in and I am enjoying it, I find lots of sci-fi to watch. It's good watching wwe again (and forwarding past adverts). It does take time to keep up especially with lots on espn and sky at the weekend.

I have also got an iphone. I ordered it on the Sunday online from o2 (which is good for signal). It also helps I have WIFI at home and Cumnock RFC, people in the club know the code. The trouble was I didn't receive it until Friday morning (when I was busy at home). That meant 4 nights when I had to wait in. I have kept the same mobile number, so don't need to send mass text to tell anyone I have new number.

The only other trouble is BATTERY POWER, I go through it very quickly. I took a 2 youtube videos on Saturday (they wern't great). Also I have twitter sorted on it and I have some eminem album on fae itunes.

The health is feeling better, I can stay standing for longer and a bit of walking. Having the buspass definitely has it's uses. I aint watching the STV Nightshift as much now.

The INR level is fine as well, so we are good.

Ofcourse I am getting more to do in Cumnock RFC as well with the season starting at haste now. This Saturday the S1 and older have a sponsor day where they buy a £2 ticket and get a couple of goodies. Checking the club news on pitchero and facebook gives details. Committee meetings are going as well, where we are definitely busy.

That's it from me, you all do well out there.

My weekend

marr1Image by trobertc via Flickr
That was quite a weekend.

As you can see from earlier in the blog Cumnock RFC played Marr. Marr are a good team but the boys have been worked hard. Both teams were out. Sally was coming to visit me at 4pm so I left the game a few minutes early to get up the hill. I have a chair to watch the rugby as well and its nice and light to carry.

Next I went home in Auchinleck as Sally was due. I had a banana sandwich (Harry) and some tea. Sally, Alex and Xander arrived and we headed to mum's. Unknown to most of you (atleast online) I was heading to Fife to give someone a surprise. Mum and Andy had just been to Ireland for a holiday. Their bus driver was not good. After a couple of hours I left with Alex and co.

We got to Fife and had a lovely piece of meat for supper and a Caffreys.

I watched Match of the Day and there was some fine goals that night. It was a good day and I had a fairly good sleep, my usual.

On Sunday I had my usual cereal then a fry-up (grilled). My nephew David is 19 years old in a few weeks and I was going to get his birthday present with him on Sunday as well.

David my brother with Terri had said he was coming down to Sally's. When David arrived I got warned he was here and gave him a big surprise by saying hello. The look was great. That's why I didn't publicise the trip. I heard how David was as he had been in hospital (It takes quite a bit to get me making this kind of trip, but David is one of them).

After that David (nephew) and me headed to Kirkcaldy to get his birthday. David got some footwear and DVD (I think). The trip around shops did tire me out. I won't really do that kind of shopping trip again. We went back to Leven when we were done and I stayed in for rest of the night.

Today as you can see I went from Glenrothes to Glasgow then Glasgow to Auchinleck. Cheers to Sally for lift to Glenrothes.

Tomorrow I am going to get Sky+ installed because my freeview signal keeps on disappearing so I am looking forward to that, I am even getting sport. Wednesday I have dentist (I guess a check-up). I got referred for that. Thursday I am back at INR clinic at EACH. You think I have a busy week?

rugby, twitter #followfriday and other stuff.

Good afternoon all, no pictures the now. Thought you might have had enough from yesterday. The broadband signal was playing up for a number of days there, so grrr. It appears to be working a lot better now.

I did my #followfridays at midnight last night, so I haven't had to worry about doing them during today. Here is the list:
@cdhinton @braescotland @_alexham @tezzer57 @tookiebunten @jscognam @faulko1 @weeyin13 @dezbee2008 @lisaseat @josh_biggs @centcaps @sophielouiseJ @tourscotland @clueless_bimbo @queenofscots67 @lliswerryguy @ceggs @evilnanny @shadwell1970 @slashasterisk @jennired @caldjr @xsex @ms_cornwall @barrysnedden @natcoombs @mikeantwerp @rbmartin @wendyhurrell @pitchero @wossy @stephenfry @westfm @itvtakemeout @joindave @achrisevans @tweetybear67 @alanwho @joreynolds55 @dezbee2008 @b26marauder @cumnockchron @birssy @djmissfrenchie @kjmurdoch @campbellclaret @bbclauraK

At the rugby club last night I had a number of beers which was good, for some of the hard work I have been doing down there, but I volunteered to do bar Tuesday nights until I get a job. Its not a long shift anyway. I think there is football on English BBC next Tuesday, so I will be able to watch it. We have a committee meeting on Monday.

Catriona was down in the club last night, the person organising the Burns Supper for Saturday 6th February. After seeing the Cumnock Chronicle website on Wednesday and it mentioning Cumnock RFC Burns Supper. Bobby Horton (the chairman of the event) was also there. I was glad I was down in the club to see how they got on organising it. They even got other people who were not buying a ticket to go to it. On the same day Cumnock is away to Cowal (Dunoon) with a noon kick-off. I wonder how long it takes to get back from Dunoon back to Cumnock?

The Cumnock Chronicle did put the email I did into the paper (bottom right of page 31 (2nd last page). Everybody I showed the paper liked the fact it was in the paper (yeah, I didn't get shouted at). I did the right thing.

After that I went into The Sun, tried Fireflies (which I cannot do) and went down that ice path to the bus stands.

Then I got home, had a bite to eat and did some work on the tvnewscaps british threads site as my computer was going quicker and had a very nice chat with sabrina about snow.

I went to bed at 2.30 (and went straight to sleep) and got up at 9am this morning. American Idol has started again and I watched the Atlanta one this morning, you can see from the packages if they are good singers or not before they go up. The biggest point ofcourse was #pantsontheground song. Thankfully the general is 62, so he was slightly above 28 year old limit. Here is the video link

Just watch it!

Lunchtime, I am away.

Auchinleck 1250

Yes I am just heading to bed. It snowed slightly when I left to go to Cumnock RFC tonight. The SRU put out the fixture changes today and it means it interfears with a social event and when we beat that team we are suppose to play at arran the weekend Wales plays Scotland in 6 nations.

It is thankfully main committee meeting on Monday (I think).

Anyway when I went to the club the ice was that bad I slid on it. Thankfully my big gloves did the job of protecting my hands.

I came home on an earlier bus and watched some telly. The end of Slumdog Millionaire (I saw it last year at cinema) then some QI with Stephen Fry. The ice on my steps was bad, so I got rid of some of it and now it is snowing again (as shown on the video).

Now its bed time. Goodnight.

My festive period at Cumnock RFC

Well I don't believe I am doing this, but I am.

As I have been saying for a while the Cumnock RFC Hogmanay party was on last night. I bought a ticket for a £5. I know that doesn't sound much but I am unemployed the now with phone bills, electric, gas, travel occasionally and the odd drink.

As some of you may have noticed I have spent quite a lot of time of Cumnock rugby club. On 23rd December I was there from 3pm to about 10pm. I had a small drink that night, but it was an ok night. On Christmas eve I was there from 5pm to 10pm, almost nobody was in again until 9.20 when 12 people came in from a cumnock community group. We asked them if they wanted another drink at 9.50 and they didn't so we closed about 10.15pm after it I went into Cumnock again and had some fun.

The club was closed Christmas Day. I went to Carol's then went to my cousin peachy for Christmas Dinner. I was down at my mums staying. It was a lot easier seeing as East Ayrshire Council dont clear paths or side roads of snow/ice (its nearly 2 weeks since the freezing temperatures started. I hope it get warms soon the weather forecast doesn't look good.

It was a good day Christmas Day until I walked home which took 80 minutes. On Boxing Day I wanted to talk to Alex Dunsmuir, the Cumnock RFC president about the set up of karaoke machine. On the 23rd I had set most of it up. Alex was down at the club so I went down. Unfortunately no bus passed when I was heading down. I got there 30 minutes later. Alex had left but came back. The club closed at 7pm and I headed to the Sun where there was a band on later. I wasn't very sober that night. I left the pub after midnight (and no dinner).

The next day (with a sore head) I went down to club at 2.30 because Glasgow vs Edinburgh was on. I knew I couldnt tune the sky box to get STV. It is getting ITV Central the now. It created a bit of a problem. We just on time put the normal TV's on. I did the bar while we were busy to 6pm then I went home to Auchinleck (on the bus). I wasnt down in the club until last night now. I was at my mums the morning and had to go home to auchinleck to do something on the computer (2.5 miles), then did some stuff on pc and get gear ready for last night. Then I headed back to Cumnock at 3.30pm walking again (5 miles). Went to the bank, saw the mum of 1 of the barstaff there. I got back upto my mums, watched Knight Rider on 5
and headed to the club for 7pm. I saw John Cleland and told him where I was headed and he asked me if I was going to enjoy enjoy myself. I just said it would probably be busy (so in other words no). When I got to the club I got the karaoke equipment (apart from the mic), it was very quite at first. Alex had sorted the TV next to the bar to show that through in the hall (so BBC1 scotland when the bells come). One of the earlier people in asked about stock of bar (that isn't my area!).

It didnt get really busy until 10pm. There was a few people there that have been there before, The Horton's, Ramage's, Blackwood's. It wasn't the same. The first and last time I was behind the bar was to get Alex away from there serving drink. Budgie (who is pictured with me) bought me a drink. He is in the TA and is going to Afghanistan. Good luck. I couldnt say no to that drink.

Alex's family was there and he was occasionally at least enjoying himself when I wasn't asking him for mic or when a stupid player broke a glass bottle and wouldn't take something that probably had glass in it. They did the raffle and thats where I had to use the music system as I had the mic connected and then people got fed at the buffet. We watched Only An Excuse and it was a good laugh. I enjoyed that. At about 11.30 I sent out happy new year text before people would wait forever to send/receive text.

After the bells went I discovered myself over there, people celebrating Happy New Year and I was over there myself beside the mic (which controls the tv volume), in a room full of people I felt very lonely. After some people said happy new year to their families I did say happy new years to a few people.

The DJ (one of the parents of youth section, sorry dont know your name (I did try to check). He was very good. He was going to do a couple of songs but people kept dancing so it kept going at 1am it was still dancing and Alex said maybe they wanted that. I thought he was right. I unpluged the karaoke equipment (the reason I wasn't drinking much) and was going to put it in the right room but the key wasnt at the bar. After looking around for 10 minutes for the key I told Alex (who I was trying to leave alone) about the key and Alex had it. I got the key and put the stuff away (the TV sound stuff was still on). Alex even asked me if I wanted a drink but I wasn't really in the mood at this point.
I got the stuff away and left without saying goodbye to any of them. One of the barstaff saw me put my jacket, hat and gloves, phone (with radio). I walked up to my mums and was there by 2am (very early) after walking about 7 miles throughout the day.I went to bed fresh and got up fine at 9.30am this morning. At 11am I left mums and came home to Auchinleck. I feel bad for being depressing the now but this is something I have to get this off my chest.

The rugby club just feels like a job for me the now (which doesn't pay a penny, it costs money). All the Irn Bru I drank last night I bought (I know Alex wanted to give me a drink, but you know that was a no). It isn't one I am enjoying either. I just do what I have to do and thats it. You know about give and take, well I think I am giving all my time and all it is taking that too much. Alex is just about to have a holiday, so I hope he enjoys it.

I know we are all suppose to be happy the now being new year, I just can't do that.

I hope everyone is having a good new year.

Monday 7 December & Tuesday 8 Dec.

Well that was fun today. I watched the american football on channel 5 last night. I had went to bed at 9.20pm and got back up at 12.50 for Minessota vs Arizona. Arizona was winning easily at 4am so I headed back to bed. I also did some publicise on next Cumnock RFC Friends and formers players event on 16th January during it. I also had fun talking to my american friends about the game. It was fun.

I went to bed, I think I got back to sleep about 5am (drinking coffee during games did keep me slightly awake), got up at 9am. I did feel fine.

Today I headed into Cumnock at 11.30am, took a walk upto
View Larger Map">Caponacre Industrial Estate, looking for something The burger van up there sells cheese burgers for £1.60 (I might not buy there again).
Next I visited my mum and andy at home. Did some talking and then headed to my cousins and chatted with him until 6.30pm (catching up).

I then headed to
View Larger Map">Cumnock RFC for mini/midi committee meeting which started at 7pm. It went well. We finished at 9.30pm. It was a bit foggy when I went home. Now I am a bit tired and heading for some sleep. When I got home I did the stats for 1st XV. Unfortuantely you have to have joined pitchero website to see the stats (and the forum)

I am now heading for bed as I am a bit tired.

I got up at 8.30am. I applied for several jobs as I emailed atleast 3 people my cv. Filled out 2 application forms. I then went out printed 2 cv's, sent a package for my mum. I printed out a cv for one of the app forms and headed to Cumnock.

When I got off the bus I said hello to a couple of people. I then handed in the app form then did some shopping in farmfoods in cumnock.

When I was on bus home I listened to newsbeat on radio 1 on these gold dealers on tv. It was very interesting and here is the link.

Now I have headed home and just going to have sausage sandwiches. I wonder what @birssy will say to my question.

There is the answer, coffee.

Relaxing afternoon now.

Follow Friday, My weekend and why I am rugby daft

I got to sleep after 2am this morning. Since I got up I have put my washing on, done my follow friday's on twitter @weeyin13 @lisaseat @tookiebunten @_alexham @birssy @faulko1 @shadwell1970 @caldjr @lliswerryguy @dezbee2008 @backstory @holmescnn @iamboutique @bellahomecouk @evilnanny @ceggs @josh_biggs @aexavf @thegreenwelly @braescotland @unahealthyfan @davidforster @b26marauder @centcaps @tweetybear67 @birssy @tezzer57 @ms_cornwall @djmissfrenchie @thepathtoamen @kidsonbridges @jonallenmusic @lesleygunn @absoluteradio @lj_chi @michaeljbyers @michaelmcguk @openallmics @thetwitcleaner @westfm @pitchero @iainmhepburn @craigmcgill @fallout666 @cumnockchron

For fuller descriptions from last weeks Follow Friday click here.

I also had to update news on where the Cumnock minis are going on Sunday. I did this in several ways. So I posted it within their own age groups I did a club news on all the teams details for this weekend in club news on pitchero Cumnock site. I then updated facebook with a note and then I sent an update to all the fans of Cumnock RFC on facebook. That should cover most of my computer stuff. I also had to add a pdf into club documents for mini/midis as well for Scotland/Glasgow/Edinburgh.

I know I am busy Saturday. Weather permitting I am videoing my 1st team rugby game (the head coach asked me, I don't say no to him (I am there to help)), having dinner at home then doing bar that night in the club.

Sunday I have 2 or 3 different youth teams playing at home and then do reports (myself) maybe for one or two sets for paper (plus advertise for more players in paper for another youth team).

I had better say one team is off this weekend and the youngest ones are away from home (which I will sent reports for that night or next day to put on website).

You wonder why I talk rugby as much (does that explain the role at the club as webmaster, me).

I hope that answers why I am rugby (and computer) daft. If I am boring you just check the jokes I posted earlier this week (down the blog).

Thomas Cunningham
Cumnock RFC Webmaster.

Social Media Podcast Edition 9

I didn't get to the newmediabrekkie in Glasgow and after reading a couple of blogs and twitter posts on #nmb because I was working that morning. I was interested to listen to the latest Social Media Podcast which would hopefully cover what happened from the podcastmatters team.

During the event I get tweet Craig McGill who told me what was happening and that he is not the target market, that got me thinking that I thought he would be. After reading Iain M Hepburn and Craigs blogs

So firstly listen to the social media podcast which is on itunes They are advertising it at the top of the social media podcast page (scroll down to find feed and the rss feeds)(it's edition 9).

I was glad to hear Gordon explaining what he meant by newspapers (as in the physical paper (not online)).

A thank you as well to Gordon for retweeting me saying I had listened to the last podcast.

I am basically still interested as it does help if you are focused when you are interacting with social media.

For my lonely rugby club I do twitter (along with everything else I tweet on), proboards, blogs and now facebook fan page and it does take up my time updating them all and I feel it is getting too large for me (I am not alone). I have had some news I should have a webhost for the original website, which would let me remove proboard and focus it even more. I would keep my blog as I can feed the blog entries into the facebook page (within about an hour). The facebook page is already more popular than the amount of members on the proboard after only 1 week (and my viewing figures on the blog are not down).

Any advice guys.

Sunday 27th September rant.

Good morning all, this is Glasgows September weekend holiday and lets just say we have been busy.

I had to go between Essentials and Treasures Gift Shop after a quick phone call at 10am, saying was gift shop busy and it wasn't so I went up. They needed for people on the till and we were expecting an audit, so work was being done through in storeroom to prepare for that. It also didn't help that a member of staff was off sick.

So we got through the morning, I got to put ice and chips into a freezer, that was fun. The audit came when I was covering gift shop dinners and we were ok as far as I know. At this point I wasn't feeling great and phoned Alex the president of the rugby club as I was to do empties in Auchinleck Community Centre that night. He said he would cover it, more on this later.

At 1.20pm after getting most of my lunches covered, Jim (worked with him for years) said I could go for lunch and I disapeared off the till. I had 4 rolls, half a large chocolate bar and some juice. I needed that. We also had a very busy period with the ice cream around 3.15 with 2 of us serving at the same time. Over ten in that period. We also did the cleaning and then after Cameron had finished work the shop got quite, ofcourse until about 4.50pm when its ten minutes until we close. We have a bus to catch at 5.15pm, so it is always a rush.

When I was going home I was actually feeling better, so I phoned Alex and agreed to work last night. I got home, I had my ticket for Jon Allen at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut arrive in my letterbox (hurrah!), had a bath, had my dinner as well and watched some of the F1 qualifying. Then I went to the community centre, discovered they didn't need help there but discovered who was on the Cumnock rfc. We had 3 new lassies and 1 man who could only work to 10pm. It was about 8pm the now and I didn't want to work all night. Alex said can I go down. The bus got me down there 8.10pm. At maximum at about 9.20 there was about 40/50 even though it was set for 100. The 2 lassies through the front got there dinner and at 9.30pm somebody decided they were closing bar through in function hall. Now I asked who had ok'd this and I went to get Alex who I knew wouldn't approve this (I left my phone at home). We got the bar opened through the function hall. I had to stay until we closed now and they had to realise I was on the committee (and should listen to me). We then set whne last orders was and at midnight they questioned me again when said close that bar. So this time I had my phone and gave them Alex on the phone and that position change. I wasn't happy. We got the bar closed when I set and Sean's group went home quietly. We got the till done and my taxi was booked for 1.30am. So lets just say I was tired.

I hope today is better (thats the rant over)

Wedn 09/09/09 6.15am

Good morning guys, thought I had better do one of these.

Firstly it was a shock for Andy Murray to lose last night.

Friday:- got to work and got told your off Saturday (as I had said I wanted to go to the rugby at Oban), do the rota. Now I did one where I could have done backshift most of the week. There was 2 members of staff off in supermarket but thankfully they got somebody else from dayshift.

Everything went really well at work that day. I had to cut the amounts of days for somebody else but that was ok.

Friday night 5.15 I got the bus into Ayr and got a train to Glasgow. I had already booked a hotel for £30 a night. I got there, but had to taxi to the Argyll Guest House in Sauchiehall Street. The room was across the road from reception. The room was very clean, good facilities, good bathroom and normal sized bed.

I had went up to go and see Rockaoke in Oneills in Sauchiehall Street where Kirsty Crawford was there. Unfortunately I didn't know many people there. I got there about obout 8pm. I wanted to sing all the small things, but that was claimed already. I started with American Idiot by Green Day. I thought there was going to be a screen, there wasn't. I did lose my place but it was ok. In the 2nd half I started it with Chelsea Dagger by The Fratellis. It was a great night. I had about 7 pints I think and got asked to leave about midnight. The security guard was right there. I couldn't say goodbye to Kirsty though, sorry about that. I went to a shop and got a taxi to guest house after getting muchies.

Next morning I got up at 7am, hungover ofcourse. I had booked a taxi for 830am. I had to go down to Q8 services at Kilmarnock to get bus to Oban Lorne RFC.

I got there on time and even managed to get lunch fae Greggs.

The rugby was very wet. We visited The Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum. It looked really good, apart from the fact there wasn't enough staff as long wait for teas. People were late back for the bus. I even sell some of the stuff they have in there. I also reckon its profit margins look like 50/60% (just my opinion).

We got to Oban Lorne RFC about 215pm and the players got warmed up quickly as the rain continued. We just lost. I stayed sober coming back down as I working Sunday.

Ok, got home about 1030pm, tired. I didn't stay up late that night.

Since then its been basically working. Sunday 10-5 then backshift Essentials btu got a good lunch on Monday at Wellington Cafe, Ayr for £3.

Now I aint sure when my dayoff next is next week.
