Tv capping websites
Some of you may know that I posted pictures (thanks ddandd) on reportercaps, but unfortunately that site has been closed. Most of the cappers are now on TvNewsCaps. This is where I get pictures you see off the telly.
I had somehow won the NFL Playoff Pool, beating all the americans and only watched for 2 weeks before this started. after pjane invited me on facebook to come over to this new proboard.
Some of the other guys also run Hi-Def News Caps blog and Hi-def News Cap proboard
This is why American football livescores are at the bottom of this blah (I just put rugby there to try it first).

Scrum V, STV Rugby and my own internet sites
Cumnock RFC Chatboard Link
I just put this on Cumnockrugby chatbaord, I know I don't talk Cumnock RFC on here, but this wasn't officially sanctioned Cumnock RFC news, so it's more about me than news on Cumnock RFC. So here it is:-

Some of you guys may know I try to watch Srcum V on Friday nights and the welsh legend Rick O'Shea. Its on the BBC red button from 7pm. Cardiff blues had an amazing try just before the end of the first half. They are playing Munster. beever asked me if Jamie Roberts was playing. I text scrum to 81012 and got an answer oh "not soon enough" from Rick.
Also if you don't watch fanscrene, watch STV rugby on Sundays at 5.30pm. It is now giving Magners league highlights on all that weekends games.
I forgot to put my name on the text, so just got the answer.
If any of the rest of you use twitter, remember to follow me on twitter for Cumnock RFC news (even when Jim and Harry post on the blog, you get a tweet from me), my normal tweets including #followfriday and my thomasblah (nothing to do with rugby)

Firstly it was a shock for Andy Murray to lose last night.
Friday:- got to work and got told your off Saturday (as I had said I wanted to go to the rugby at Oban), do the rota. Now I did one where I could have done backshift most of the week. There was 2 members of staff off in supermarket but thankfully they got somebody else from dayshift.
Everything went really well at work that day. I had to cut the amounts of days for somebody else but that was ok.
Friday night 5.15 I got the bus into Ayr and got a train to Glasgow. I had already booked a hotel for £30 a night. I got there, but had to taxi to the Argyll Guest House in Sauchiehall Street. The room was across the road from reception. The room was very clean, good facilities, good bathroom and normal sized bed.
I had went up to go and see Rockaoke in Oneills in Sauchiehall Street where Kirsty Crawford was there. Unfortunately I didn't know many people there. I got there about obout 8pm. I wanted to sing all the small things, but that was claimed already. I started with American Idiot by Green Day. I thought there was going to be a screen, there wasn't. I did lose my place but it was ok. In the 2nd half I started it with Chelsea Dagger by The Fratellis. It was a great night. I had about 7 pints I think and got asked to leave about midnight. The security guard was right there. I couldn't say goodbye to Kirsty though, sorry about that. I went to a shop and got a taxi to guest house after getting muchies.
Next morning I got up at 7am, hungover ofcourse. I had booked a taxi for 830am. I had to go down to Q8 services at Kilmarnock to get bus to Oban Lorne RFC.
I got there on time and even managed to get lunch fae Greggs.
The rugby was very wet. We visited The Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum. It looked really good, apart from the fact there wasn't enough staff as long wait for teas. People were late back for the bus. I even sell some of the stuff they have in there. I also reckon its profit margins look like 50/60% (just my opinion).
We got to Oban Lorne RFC about 215pm and the players got warmed up quickly as the rain continued. We just lost. I stayed sober coming back down as I working Sunday.
Ok, got home about 1030pm, tired. I didn't stay up late that night.
Since then its been basically working. Sunday 10-5 then backshift Essentials btu got a good lunch on Monday at Wellington Cafe, Ayr for £3.
Now I aint sure when my dayoff next is next week.

River in cumnock
I came in to get WWE Summerslam from Stuart, he was waiting for me in the precient and told HE READS THIS. I didn't even invite it I think. I was quite surprised. The view is going across from a large store in Cumnock. After this I went and saw my mum and Andy before they went to see Singing In The Rain in Glasgow and I visited my Cousin David when there bus came.
I have now back home and watching WWE Summerslam

Hello everybody

On twitter NewMediaBrekkie and AngieT1972.
New Media Brekkie is part of podcastmatters, a group Tartanpodcast used to MD whose podcast I do listen to. I havent heard anything since he left them. I don't know if it is of interest to me. Look at this link and tell me what you guys think. It is a good blog.
AngieT1972 has a blogspot as well. As part of bellahomecouk getting the Ayrshiremaffia to raise our game, I am trying to find more bloggers out there and them following me on twitter, makes it real easy for me to follow them.
I also want to give illiswerryguy, caldjr, snedwan, sir and cdhinton for tweeting this morning.
You may also notice I use statcounter on the site. I get about 200 pageloads a week on thomasblah and even more on cumnockrugby. I aint giving figure out on that. I hope it helps weeyin13 blog, a fellow member of #ayrshiremaffia. Anybody else in Ayrshire going to join us.
While I am talking #hastags, when you see me use #fb on the end of my tweets, it's so that my selective twitter update on facebook activtes are used on facebook. They don't seem to like too many status updates over there. I use it most for rugby ofcourse.
Well it's nearly dinner time, so have a good evening. It was dry for most of today, but as usual when I got off my bus it was raining, typical.

Tuesday 1 September
Hello Guys and girls, how are we all.
Well lets start with Sunday. I went to Cumnock RFC mini/midi registration day. It went ok, got some memberships and was back home about 3pm, then I did the admin of doing the database and emailing that to various people. I got told David Kerr, our new Club Captain would email the Cumnock Chronicle himself and told his dad who is also a youth coach and senior player Euan. David sent me the report and I did posted it Monday morning. I went home and didn't have tea, bad idea. My admin had finished by about 5pm and I headed back down to the club to see Alex. I also had my videotape set for Moto GP on BBC3 at 7.45pm. Thanks go to Weeyin13 on twitter to making sure I got it to watch James Toseland.
I wanted to go to the pub, which wasn't going to be affected by anything. I know thats bad, but I did.
So I had a number of pints in Cumnock RFC, upto about 8pm. I got to ask about Saturdays game. I went a walk around woodroad, BAD IDEA. I wasn't sober then.
I walked to The Sun in Cumnock. I made a few videos of people singing (not including me being videod).
I just missed last bus to Auchinleck at 10.45pm and got a taxi. I came home, changed my blogs slightly with tags and went to bed.
I woke up Monday morning with a hangover. I went down to Tesco for a small bit of shopping. I then went home and watched MotoGP. There was a lot of falling over. The commentary said it was more than usual. It was exciting.
Now this was the first week I get to cover Jim's day off at work so I was starting work at 2pm to 10pm. The head office visit has been moved to Wednesday. Our server for credit cards went down which meant everybody had to pay cash. I had a few people not be happy about this, but I only apologised for server not working. The rest of it was ok. I stayed in Ayr last night, I wasn't finishing at midnight, going home and then getting up at 6am to start at 9am. Today wasn't bad until the RAIN fell at 4.50pm and was still raining when I finished today.
This evening I have had pictures to upload to Cumnockrugby blog and chatboard and flickr. I didn't know there is a 200 limit unless you have a pro account (it doesn't delete them). I also had s1 and under 15 fixtures to upload onto websites, so I am bit tired fae rugby. I also got emails which show the results of our division. It's not a rss feed though, so I cant embed it (as far as I know).
Finally I got to check weeyin13 blog. Looks really good for a start. Mrs Toseland (she wishes) will do well.

Saturday 29th August
My bus driver this morning was an Ayr stagecoach supervisor, that was fun some of that journey.
Work, was a lot quieter thank god, Ann and me got lots done, good as I am on holiday tomorrow.
I had a notice to put out on Cumnock RFC going to Oban Lorne and there being a bus. I checked it was ok, it was. I posted it on the chatboard Found out we lost 10-14. A hell of a lot better than last season when they beat us roughly by 60 points.
Jen McGinley of westfm did cause me problem with asking me to smile in a picture. It didn't work. Illiswerryguy on twitter didn't like it and somebody else said it was bad as well. Nobody said anything so at 7pm, I changed to another picture.
Also a big hello to weeyin13 and mirantha who have openly joined the #ayrshiremaffia on twitter after Wednesdays ideas on improving our game. I wonder if lindalou343 will join, I am still to directly ask her.
Right earlier in the week Alex Dunsmuir had said the club could be busy Saturday night with a function and said I COULD be there around 7pm. I also said to barmaids if it got mad to phone me and I would come down. None of the normal barmaids were on. Ian McN was in main bar (quiet as hell) and Alex who was up before me this morning and Blair were busy in function hall bar. They did need me. Alex text me at 9.25pm, wondering if I was coming down, I headed down straight away. We were ok but the club made some money. I planned after last orders i might get away around 1.30am, it was 1.10 with Ian still there.
It was easier to blog this than try and twitter it on my trobertc account.

For jen mcginley

Jen mcginley westfm and twitter user wants to see me smile as part of her #followfriday mention, trouble is I didn't have one, this is the best i can do on demand.
What a day today.
Well what a few days, on Monday I thought I could have done my rota from tomorrow. I was wrong.
My A team are still in tact thank god.
Now after yesterdays news I have to do backshift (supervisor) in Essentials once a week along with trying to give holidays out, the idea is though it is suppose to be very quiet. It doesnt feel like that in the past two days. Tuesday was ok as I did the till on Tuesday night in Essentials and got last bus at 8.15pm. Next Monday I am 2pm - 10pm followed by 9am Tuesday morning, I think I am going to be tired. Oh yeah and a head office visit tuesday as well.
I digress, this morning me and ann worked till and didn't stop and could only put Cameron on till when it went quiet around 11.30am, I went for lunch at 1pm and tried to work on rota (I went back down 2pm).
I firstly had to see what day somebody wanted off, it's Monday, so I had me doing a 9am - 10pm shift apart from the problem of 4-5pm where there was no supervisor in essentials. It didn't work.
I got the staff sorted in Treasures and checked it was ok, it was, thankyou ANN. I could be busy Tuesday morning as well before I open. Then got the fixed days done. I tried to do it in Essentials but it was Ann helps we could sort it. It was doing my head in. Then went right I am off Thursday and that sorted it and I could finish the rota. I made the decision and it worked. End of the day was suppose to be quiet, but it wasn't. I have somebody working until 3pm and then only 2 of us and if we don't get cleaning done before closing time, I do cleaning after doors close (unpaid).
Good news, I have my dayshift for next Friday so Oneills in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow. I am coming and my rockaoke tune has been tested and works.

Train to glasgow and Harry Potter.
Well after this I havent been able to add via my mobile. Signal seems to be non existant in Glasgow almost. I am in an internet cafe at the moment.
I went and saw Harry Potter and the half blood prince. It wasnt good.I was expecting some big fights, it didn't happen. Biggest thing was Harry, Hermoine and Ron and other girls. Not good.
Then I went to find Oneills in Sauchilhall street, its 15 minutes walk from Glasgow Central Train Station after Glasgow dental school. I found it, look out next Friday.
Now I am waiting for next train to Auchinleck which is 8pm.
Alsothis morning before I lefthome I am trying to promote a #ayrshiremafia on twitter. If you are Ayrshire, join us.
Thanks to Craig McGill for almost daring us to do more when he didn't appear in top 50 scottish twitter users.
Oneills
Right after deciding I wanted to go next Friday, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to find out how far away it is. It is about 10 minutes walk from Cineworld, you pass Glasgow Dental School and ABC which I had been to before. It will probabbly be easier he taxi there. The pub itself is quite large, I think the band may be set up at the back. There is posters in the window. Also when walking down there is no sign coming out to show where it is.
The toilets are downstairs in the pub.

Hello its Tuesday 25th August 11.30pm
We got most of the stuff done. I hoovered the carpet this morning as this was the first time since June we opened at 10am. Cameron was down with me at 9am and got a bit done. Steve then just before 11am said for me to go away and come back at 2pm. We had another trainee with Ann, Myra and Cameron, so lots of staff for most of the day.
I decided to head into Ayr with my zone 3 megarider (unlimited journeys)ticket. I went to KFC at heathfield and had a big Daddy meal. I was actually full after this. I had better say hello to weeyin13 on twitter who I tweet on the bus round Ayr. I went to Asda and headed back to the centre of ayr. I got back to work at 2pm and did a few things. A member of staff came to buy things at 8.01pm and we just waved. I had a bus to catch at 8.15pm from reception. No chance.
I came home and I watched Chuck on Virgin 1 (in 3d). I am now tired and heading to bed.
I also have created a plan for next Friday. Rockaoke is on in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow in Oneills. I havent seen Kirsty Crawford in ages even though Kirsty doesn't do the singing. I have looked at the website and the songlist and there is some songs there I do at karaoke. I have a plan.

I also reduced the opening tired to 9-5 Friday-Monday and 10-5 Tue-Friday (after Steve agreed).
I went to go down for a quick pint in Cumnock Rugby Club last night and saw we only had 2 members of staff on, and it was busy. So I ended up working behind the bar for a few hours and getting a taxi home at midnight (as agreed with or rugby club president who was down then, I wasnt going to pay for it).
The night went quickly but we ran out a few things. It's been a while since I served behind the bar when it is busy. It got a little getting used to again.
On the computer front I have been on Absolute Radio a lot lately. I had a kudos level for rock god when I was there a number of months ago. I got down from level 10 to level 4, I think I am about 6/7 now and getting kudos is getting harder.
I have also been listening to Chris Moyles as normal and he did another karaoke with Rockaoke. Kirsty Crawford fronts that and a while ago I used to go to her gigs and after listening Friday morning, most of the performances they aired were as entertaining as me (you listening Snedwan). I hope this helps Kirsty's career anyway.
Its Cumnock Highland Games this weekend and I won't be there, but good luck to all.

CNNI and Al Megrahi

I have still to watch Backstory. I hope it was good. They did tweet me back this afternoon saying it would looking at different view.
me and stuff

Well got to luck and yes the scottish schools are back from holiday so we only have English and some irish on park. It's not busy. I already have staff on holiday from my shop and I have booked 30th August and 10th October for rugby events as holidays.
Right I am going to go a bit political for a moment and telly as well. CNNI is reporting that La Megrahi is being released by the Scottish Courts. He isn't. It will be announced at 1pm scottish time that Kenny MacAskill the Scottish Justice Minister (and him alone) has decided to let him out early. Mr Macaskill is not a representative of the scottish courts, the government yes. If anyone thinks this is wrong tell me.
I thinks that me done on that subject. Next few nights will be rugby dominated. Buy the Cumnock Chronicle for rugby report IN THE PAPER.
