Sunday 27 July 2014

Firstly a big thank you to the 130 page views last week to all the visitors to my blog. Hope it's a bit different to what your used to, being telly some days and all the stuff with Commonwealth Games at the moment, so thanks. Also thank you to all the new and old people following me on twitter @thomasc1973 so the ones I didn't know used twitter even Donald McCrorie. So Saturday night I had fun in pubs in Cumnock after watching end of rugby on telly. Sunday I got up and watched even more rugby on telly and caught up with Jennifer Reoch on STV Glasgow Riverside Show beat, Colin, Storm and David. Watched some rugby 7s on telly after that and South Africa beat Scotland in Quarter Final. Well done to South Africa on winning gold medal, maybe if we had beat New Zealand when we had the chance, maybe Scotland would have got further and an easier draw. So 2.00 ready with Scotland Rugby Jumper and Cumnock RFC polo shirt I went for bus, I missed it. So I got some munchies from shop and got taxi to Auchinleck Train Station. A train suppose to arrive 2.38pm arrived 2.50pm. Saw ticket inspector after Kilmarnock. Got to Glasgow Central and it was busy so walked upto The Glasgow Royal Concert hall to take a photo, among others So headed for Ibrox bus, that was easy. Got there and was a bit of a queue, not like Saturday/ I got in and had been through security. I discovered my spare battery for phone wasnt on me at security check, maybe I left it at home (I had not). I must have lost it in transit, so last night I ordered another one on Amazon. £6.95 3-5 day delivery. I took an instagram video Then my phone started dying. Scotland got beat by England, even though Mark Bennett scored a try. I went to go and eat something, but queue wasnt moving. I didnt really want to get home 2.00am so I left 7.45pm to get buses about 10.00pm so I went to walkabout after a walk. So thats Sunday, today is a Cumnock day before Hampden tomorrow morning for athletics. Bye for now.

Tuesday 13 October

Good evening folks, well the Internet connection is working (at least the now, but very slowly).

Work on Friday - Saturday and Sunday wasn't busy.

Going down to the rugby club on Saturday night for the 2nd team report wasn't that much fun, really it wasn't. Hopefully I will enjoy 16th January more.

This past weekend many of the backshift crew in Essentials have not felt well. On the Sunday morning Leonie was onto 3pm and during the morning somebody else phoned in being sick. It meant there was only 2 on backshift. I agreed to working to 9pm and I waited 50 minutes for a bus off park. I thought the bus from Ayr to Auchinleck was at 10.20, but it was Sunday, so it was 10.40. I got home at 11.15pm (I had left at 8.20am (my feet were sore).

I did start at 2pm yesterday and it was busier and today was hectic at work.

I am now starting to think about the gig at King Tuts WaWa Hut in Glasgow next Wednesday. I have added Jon Allen Music, their fan group and aforementioned place to my myspace friends.

On other stuff the death of Stephen Gateley was very surprising. He was younger than me. It is a real shame when that can happen when people have so much to give.
I am glad Louis Walsh didn't do X factor sunday night. Well played to that man.

I still watch Chuck on Virgin 1, it was good tonight with Scott Backula (enterprise, quantum leap) being Orion and Chucks dad.

On CNN International we had Backstory with Karl doing almost the full programme on Columbia. It was amazing how he saw the dealers cutting the coccaine and other drugs and then the dealers of course smoking this stuff. It was great viewing. It was REALLY good investigative journalism.

I am working tomorrow and off Thursday so I can see my doc again.

See you all around.

blah

Well I thought it was a good name. Hope all the few readers I have are enjoying this. I don't get much feedback apart from twitter when I mention you specifically.

Work. Monday was a lot better, I went at my own pace, not trying to rush around. Just getting the stuff done with Myra. Had to be strict on tills a bit, including moving refunds to one till. Leonie I think is learning more about me. That includes times when I don't say much. I didn't do much when I got home that night. Just did some internet with twitter. I am trying to get not just 6 hours sleep. Lets see how we get on.

Tuesday woke up as usual 6am but no signal for my internet connection (argh). I got to work 8am, sent some faxes, photocopied had breakfast and opened with Ann and Claire later. Got a surprise order in (not too large). It was a nice day. Last night I had quick dinner and went to Cumnock Rugby Club to get a few updates. I am glad to say more members have paid this seasons membership already. It's only 10 training sessions until 1st game though. I just try to remind Under 18s to do Irb laws on rugby website as thats part of the process to play senior rugby.

Other news my friend Michelle (atleast I hope were still friends) is engaged. She announced it on 11 July. She has a very good man. She told me Sunday night as some of you may know I have a crabbit side. She said she told some people and I tried to make a joke out of it, but my bad mood stopped this happenning and I just bit back at her asking stupid things. I had just finished my 10-7 shift and was really tired. There is no excuses for what I did.

I know I have a tough side. I think I need to sometimes, just sometimes I can get me trouble with friends.

Ok, change the subject: TV AND RADIO

Chris Moyles has been very funny in the morning I am glad to say and glad he has a new contract for 12 more months. I wish he would do Strictly Come Dancing. Chris also basically doesn't like the Sun because they print lies about him. End of that subject.

Holly Willoughby is joining Philip Schofield on ITV This Morning from September. Very good decision.

ALL OTHER THINGS INTERNET
Snedwan, I just listened to your latest podcast.

That woman, its good you are closing the subject
Paris, very unfair you getting a good French team. I hope you complete your plan. Glad the walking helped you for Great North Run.
The last point was also very good.

Barry Snedden gave me a mention of Kigndom FM last week on air. I didn't know he was going to do that. Cheers Barry.

I also got another of my tweets read on Quest Means Business on CNNI about working Sundays. It probably helped I tweet almost immediately after he put the question out.

Also I won a competition on twitter along witha few other from The Green Welly on Friday. They announced the winners today.

I also enjoyed reading Caldjr blog on last week. Hard work.

Oh and Cumnock Chronicle has joined twitter.

It my day off tomorrow. Lets see what happens then.

updates

Well what have we all been upto. At work Rachel is off sick so after working for an hour last Thursday, Steve did some helping. Myra is dealing with soem of my duties when I am not there and when it comes to merchandising they are good so we are dealing with ordering ourselfves. I even had to do the rota for this week (and probably next week).

So on Thursday I am having a FULL day off. I have been getting up at 6am almost every day since going back from holiday about 10 days ago.

Rugby wise I finally have the web pages for the old cumnockrugby and I need to do some work on them. I aint fully flinging myself into that yet. The web design lessons from the winter are coming in handy.

TV wise I am glad to see Catriona Shearer get anchor role on BBC Reporting Scotland 630pm show.

Torchwood is great this week, watched it last night, ace and tonight wasn't much different, including John Barrowman naked.
I am keeping watching this all week.

I also watched Chuck tonight on Virgin 1+1 (2nd series) and quite enjoyed it.

Well keep saying hello to me on twitter and even comment on here. I do promise to reply.
