Prince Charles on Reporting Scotland

I got home today to see Prince Charles doing some of the weather in BBC Scotland, so seeing as I think Martin won't let Prince Charles be on Current Buns, I thought I had better blog them myself.
My favourite line was "wrote wrote this **** scrypt" The article on BBC website can be found here. For you who don't know I am very close to Dumfries House and it was that wet at 1pm. Click here for part 2 of my blog

Check it out.

A quieter week

Hello Everyone, I hope people are enjoying my blog more, not sure it will be the same this week.
Well last Wednesday my Mum and Andy moved to Fife. There was lots of help when we did the move. As you can see it emptied quiet quickly. There was a lot of stuff getting moved, but that would after living in 1 place for over 40 years (before I was born). Then I relaxed for the rest of Wednesday even though it did feel wierd being in that house for the last time. Thursday was the normal things to do including the ladies coming down getting everything set on the tables for Ladies Day. There was nothing on Friday so that was fine. I jsut created a couple of Spotify playlists for Ladies day and downloaded them onto my phone. I just relaxed Friday night and did my usual shouting at TC's. I knew Saturday was going to be a long day so I wasn't too late. I was down in rugby club for 11.30am in my shirt and tie (just to look formal). The about 70 ladies present got soup or prawn cocktail. I got told I was having a dinner as well, so I didn't disagree. The soup was warm and did a job. I had the chicken with potatoes (in sauce) and vegetables. It was cooked to perfection, so I enjoyed it. Next we had a speaker on. Jim Morrison from Auchinleck (not to be confused with Jim (Tober) Morrison, the Cumnock RFC President. I quite enjoyed as I had to monitor the mic and speakers were working ok. For a lot of the day I just sat next to sound desk to make sure it worked fine. As I said it was going to be a long day. Jim finished and this is when the games of rugby were scheduled. There was 3 games and the as you can see below I recorded the first game. I enjoyed them, there was a lot of rucks and forward play for 7s rugby, but it was still good. I got back upto the club around 5pm and started the music again and a couple of other things. The raffle took place and we had a band of 2 musicians. The sound worked perfectly I am glad to say and I got to disapear and eat a couple of rolls and facebook my youtube videos so people could view them. I played some more modern fast music when the band took a break and then they did their second half. By this point a lot of people were in the bar. The band finished and I got to disapear just after 10pm. I was up early the next day so got the last bus home and was falling asleep at midnight. Sunday I was going to Glasgow 7s with the club. We got to Scotstoun about 1030am. If you want to see how the U15 girls got on read this match report. It was me that wrote it. It was a long day. I left house around 9am and we got back to Cumnock 9pm. The rugby 7s was of a better standard and even enjoyed the laugh of lots of people cheering on the Kenya team. On Monday I did match report and relaxed during lunchtime. I was at club last night for a meeting of mini/midi committee. Thats where I got my hands on what exact dates were for stuff on in club (which is at top of blog). So do you think that was a quiet week. It certinally was to the week before.

The past week

Well I will carry on from Wednesday of last week. On Wednesday evening I discovered, twitayr was meeting and decided after only eating large breakfast I would goto Ayr that night, so hello to the Michaels, Ben and Iain. Hope your feeling better. The meal we had was quite good at Smiths. I went to get 10.15 bus but there wasn't one. I am sure there was before. I got the 10.35 bus via Mauchline. So got home about 11.30. I stayed up until around 1am and got to bed, tired. Thursday I had anti-coag clinic in morning. It came out fine. I am not there for 8 weeks (yeah). I also changed my next of kin at hospital and GP surgery. My mum and Andy are moving to Fife tomorrow (Wednesday) to be closer to Sally, Alex and Xander. I wish them all luck. To be honest I don't see that much of her. I keep busy with rugby and other things to do, but I am sure I will still see her about. I am sure andy made the right decision. As you may have guessed I didn't want to put this online until now. Thursday evening I had rugby things to deal with, including paying for tour to Aberdeen on Saturday 12th. I am looking forward to this. As previous readers would have discovered I was going to New Media Breakfast on Friday morning. I still don't enjoy getting up at 5.30am, even though I "used to do it". It was good information at the breakfast and enjoyed seeing more new people. I was awake enough to network at 8am even if people don't always like when I say "Auchinleck", but prefer it when I spoke basic stats about facebook to show why a rugby webmaster would goto that. After it finished after 9am I had a bit of time in Glasgow. Now I have seen Captain America, Iron Man, Thor (you know where I am going) so I wanted to see Avengers Assemble. It was starting at Cineworld at 10.15am. It was in 3D but the 3d glasses in there are VERY GOOD. They fitted perfectly infront of my glasses. I would say it is my kind of movie but I did enjoy it and did not mind the near 3 hour movie. The movie finished at 1pm and I headed across the road to Buchanan Bus Station and got 1305 bus to Ayr. I had a lunch with Frank to goto. We went to McCabes. i think it has just been redone. There is a number of pubs which are looking like bars now after redevelopment. I had 3 courses as Breakfast wasnt that large and Frank had two. I had Ministrone Soup, Steak and Ale pie with chips. Now it wasn't a bought in steak pie, this was like a Desperate Dan pie. It was great. I had cheseecake as well, which was very well presented. I would reccomend it. I only paid between us with 1 can of coke each £20 as a total, very reasonable. I headed home to 1545 bus and got home and did Cumnock RFC stuff on the website and facebook. I went down to club in evening, not knowing most of middle of Cumnock had no power. So I had a good night in Cumnock RFC. Saturday I got up and watched WWE Smackdown and put my email on. Bannockburn RFC had been in touch with the club and needed someone to contact, so I phoned them up and discovered it was 1 game, so I text and phone the usual people at 830am and we sorted it out. I had a few things I did in club in morning before anything neeeded done and was busy most of the day with rugby. Bonus was that Cumnock won with some great rugby being played. I enjoyed it. My biggest surprise is how long Bannockburn stayed but I am sure they enjoyed themself. I left a while before them. I watched the voice during the evening and loved Jazz as usual. I headed back to Cumnock to enjoy John McBlain DJing at Cumnock TCs. I didn't wait all night as I wanted to goto Kilmarnock next morning. I also had pre-orders to download from Itunes. So I enjoyed NVS and Starboy Nathan, good singles. I got up around 8am and headed there on bus and we had some great rugby by Cumnock players. I got home at 2pm where there was an orange walk happening and relaxed for a couple of hours. I was in club that evening for the usual Sunday evening. I also went to MadHouse on Sunday evening, Young At Heart are a new band but they wernt really my taste for music. I prefer younger stuff (comes fae the man who went to JLS). I also see the Railway Hotel has been finished and looked very good (another place with a new bar out there). Monday I did my usual posting of match reports online and get them to Chronicle. also had eyes tested, they were fine. I also caught up with telly. I enjoyed most of the Manchester derby. Today I watched WWE raw from last night, it was a bit predictable at times. Tonight I think I will goto Royal Quiz at Cumnock as didn't goto last 2 there. Thursdays when rugby gets busy again. See you all soon.

JLS at Braehead on Tuesday 24th April

Hello guys, if you read my blog last week you will know I saw JLS last night. I even put on twitter and facebook yesterday I wasn't sure what I was doing. Craig McGill gave me a reply which didn't completly at ease. He was right though. I tweeted Clairey who knew me from Kirsty Crawford gigs who ahd just seen steps if this was me and that made me feel easier. During this I downloaded all 3 JLS albums on Spotify on my Glasgow bus which got me in the mood. Nobody actually said anything bad about JLS, which I expected so I was pleased. Well my hotel was McLays Guest House on Renfrew Street. I have stayed there before. All you do when you leave Buchanan Bus Station is go out the bus station main entrance and go straight ahead for 10 minutes (past Glasgow School of Art) and you get there. I had a downstairs room with a single bed and a kettle and tea/coffee and ensuite shower and toilet. I got changed and left for Braehead at 5.10pm. Went along to Kings Theatre and got 747 along to Braehead and arrived about 5.50pm. I had a Latte just below arena and went upstairs and 6.20, not too far from front. I was beside a giraffe and Ketchup bottle. I thought I would be standing there until 7pm as what normally happened with WWE events but 6.35 we started moving, great. So got in about 640. I bought a programme for £10 and I was in Block B Row A number 1, right next to entrance to lower on floor level. It had loads of legroom and arm room. I read my programme (well most of it) and saw the videos start on the big screens. I only wish the Channel 5 trailer for Once Upon a Time was made upto date. It started 1st April and it was being shown as a new series. I was surprised to see other artists videos but it helped with the atmosphere. The thing I noticed was it was 1 mostly girls/women and 2 young. Almost the age I help with at rugby club. So being older and male didn't make me feel that normal there. But I was enjoying myself, so I couldn't really be that bothered. If I look at what I spent on the night I have had more costly nights than going to JLS. Last years bag pack at rugby club cost me more and I was a lot busier for that. NVS came out and started really well, coming up the stairs to the right of the stage with the curtains drawn for main stage. I have pre-ordered the single #drop dead georgous (which I aint), but they are and hope they do really well. Since I came home I have followed them and ordered it and sent them a message on twitter showing my pre-order and they have followed me back.
I am glad to see they get social media in twitter. I am even sure Gordon from Fatbuzz would agree with that (who I see on Friday for New Media Breakfast at 29 in Glasgow).
We also had Vida come on next. I can say I think I probably enjoy these girls more (I wonder why). Great rapping, dancing the start was amazing. Check them out. The problem with me doing a blog today I dont want to reveal some surprises for people going to Braehead tonight (I dont know if I will reach that far). Next up was Starboy Nathan and he really got the girls ready for JLS. I thought he was going to trip up on his jacket on stage, but he didn't. His dancing was a amazing again and more great tunes. All the support acts were great. All the seats were filled by the time they were all finished. I wish I could say more about them all but I have put links videos from there on official youtube channels if possible. Next we get to JLS which started after 8pm. Now I want to leave surprises on hear. If you want to see some photos you can look me up today on twitter at Thomasc1973 on instagram posts last night. My account isn't normally on public, but it will be today. The start really surprised me. I was singing my lungs out quite a lot, I just wasn't sure when they were looking for the girls that I should stand up (in other words sit down). It was a great show. I could feel the ground almost moving where I sat (thats when my foot wasn't tapping). If you can see them you will enjoy yourself. Craig McGill was right (even for the 38 year old Cumnock RFC male webmaster). I am sure everyone enjoyed themself here. I am glad our side won the oh oh oh oh oh oh challenge. It's the result on the night that matetrs. The public transport back was perfect and into Glasgow for 11.15 and headed back to hotel. I got tired about midnight and got upa round 7am (as usual). I had cornflakes along with a coffee followed by fry-up. I saw someone else have tomatoes and beans and asked not to get them and I think I got an extra egg and potato scone. I left my room and it was a great. The prices are the best around in Glasgow and I like them. I will be back. So I am a happy man and hope you all can feel the same as me. T

Wednesday 18th April and beyond

I know its late, but I aint tired yet. Well tonight was the Cumnock RFC monthly Quiz. There was me, Barclay and Rodger in our team and we only finished 3rd, not far behind though. Worst bit for me was Play Your Cards Right. I was put up and I usually try to be logical on numbers and direction to go. I got to the last card to turn with a 6 and asked higher or lower. I went higher. It went 4. It was for £150 (between 3 of us). A few weeks ago in Royal I won £27 for play your cards right for 8 of us = a pint each (not £50 each). Other stuff thats happening, well still enjoy NCIS and the usuals. Homeland has got good again. Because Martin down at Currentbunsuk is doing more London News that means I stick more to Scotland. today I got these
Above is Sharon Frew, Wendy Hurrell, Holly Hamilton and Sarah Cruickshank (who I had a good conversation on twitter this morning, cheers from a non speaking gaelic scotsman). I also today did a long email on rugby, you can basically check it via my club news article here As I said I emailed it, unfortunately for some people it was through about 4 different lists on my email account and so they got it multiple times. This afternoon I made it 1 whole list. That should make them happier. Next week is busy for me. On Tuesday I go to Braehead Arena to see JLS (start slagging me now). I booked my hotel in Glasgow already for a very competitive price. I hope I enjoy it. It was back in December I booked for the event. On the Friday (27th April) I am going to New Media Breakfast at Glasgow, so that means Friday get up around 6am (earlier than my normal get up time). It is on facebook, so I am looking forward to it. I have enjoyed some of the changes that have been made to it. After that I have lunch in Ayr around 1pm. I hope it isnt raining too much in Glasgow that morning because I wont want to feed my face all day. So here hope I get tired soon and I will see you all soon.

@TheLafontaines

Many people in Cumnock, Ayrshire and most of Scotland and probably know I like their stuff as well. This is their new video, watch it and I think you will like it. It's a new kinda video for me from them. The LaFontaines are playing in Bakers on Saturday 2nd June, with link to their facebook page here

Saturday afternoon and I am at home

Hello guys and girls. I know I hadn't been blogging much but here is a second one in the week. I did a youtube video on Tuesday I hope you all like it or other various things. I also hope Stuart has watched all the WWE by now, so I aint spoiling his viewing. Through Tuesday was fairly quiet apart from shopping. I went to quiz at Royal and as part of the plamphs I won play your cards right. It was £28 (between 7 of us) so basically I had a pint from the win. Also this week spotify got another app added from "Now" I have been making lots of playlists from 90s and 2000/2001. I wont say they are all good tunes, but its the ones I was listening to at the time. Wednesday was very quiet because of no training at night, it was moved to Thursday. I had also noticed that Wet Wet Wet are doing a concert at Glasgow Green. I have a ticket booked for it so I will enjoy that in June. Thursday itself was quiet because Matthew Clark are coming earlier just about every week (I am happy about that). Went down to training later and it went well. We were all impressed we got a whole page of rugby in Cumnock Chronicle including the Micros (so the work on that worked). Also discovered I needed to pay Ayr a visit on Friday because I needed something. I went in the afternoon and got job done, then went to see Hunger Games. I hadn't seen the trailer or read the book (which is heavily advertised in Waterstones and other book shops). I really enjoyed this film. There was no mistakes, nothing goery, as wierd as that sounds. It was a good film. After that I got my usual 5pm bus home but went to club first. We had been waiting for tickets for Ladies Day and finally we had them in the bar, even though we have had to change from black and red and gold to black red and pink. After that I went home and watched Glasgow Warriors on BBC 2 Redzone, even though I never heard me. It was a good win for Glasgow. I hope the guys keep it up. The other thing I did was sort out slides for TC's in Cumnock. So we get to today, I watched Motherwell vs Rangers and I was worried Rangers might not do it, but Rangers did. So that's me.

Rugby and stuff

How are we getting on out there. I know I havent done this for a while. I will go in reverse to what has been happening. Today (when the clocks changed) I got up after just over 7 hours sleep so I could get ready with plenty of time this morning. We had mini games, micros training s1 festival at Cumnock. The girls were going to Murrayfield to play in back pitches. The other boys teams were away as well, so it was going to be a busy day. I thought I was going to be mostly stuck in club most of the day but we got a member of staff to cover most of that. This leaves probably 1 problem especially tomorrow. I didnt have sun tan lotion on and I was outside for 5 hours in a polo shirt. I can see my arms are redder than most of my body. I might be saying ouch a few times (its happened before). Saturday we had both senior teams play. The 1st XV played well even though we didn't win, I only wish we could play that well against all the teams in our division. Being around the club for nearly 20 years means I have seen the ups and downs and we always survive. That will continue. All I can do is what I currently do and let others deal with what they can. I can try my best to help, but in the end it's not upto the committee or its members for everything in the club. If people think being on committee gives you a title, your wrong. It should mean you want to do your best, even if you don't like it. At the moment I have 1 match report from the weekend and I am waiting for a load more. The last rugby point I will probably make is thank you to Harry Reilly who came down late on and covered rugby yesterday and helped loads today as well. Right, change subject, lets try some television. NCIS:LA is ok the now. I didn't like the deputy director coming over, but it's expectable. NCIS Season 9 is being good. The Voice UK. I did like the concept and so far I am liking it. I dont watch BGT and most people know what I think generally about X Factor UK. It is nearly time for Wrestlemania and most of it has been predictable as normal. I also think Cleverdicks on Sky Atlantic is a very smart programme. I am watching Sky Sports F1 station. It isnt actually that bad and its easy to record which helps in asia. The wierd bit people might not like my viewing is The Love Machine and Dont stop me now. I dont like stacy soloman but some of that program is funny. Dont Stop Me Now is either good or violent, perfect.
As normal I have been watching my usual large amount of regional News and Weather, even if I didn't contribute that much lately. I tend to when I am busy with rugby stuff I dont do telly as much. Sarah Cruickshank (in the picture) sent me some gaelic on twitter and I can't get a translation of "Yep fliuch for you and tioram for us!" in English, but its weather related. I am also being kept busy with other stuff happening around here, but its good, so I can survive it. Well its time to disapear off this as I have a email for another report for rugby. See you all around.

my weekend

How are we all today, its been a busy weekend for me this weekend. On Friday morning I was down in Cumnock early and handed over a birthday present for Carol, over to Andy and then put some posters up in rugby club.
That one came in handy because somebody realised that the games had continued. Next I went back home and had a relaxing couple of hours. After 1.20 I headed out to Kilmarnock to see "The Best Exotic Maragold Hotel" which was playing at 2.40. The bus took me to Asda on Queens Drive, I got lunch and went and saw it. It is a very good film, somebody today asked me if its funny. I couldnt say it is. It may have funny parts in it, but its not a comedy. There is nothing wrong with the storylines. The wierdest part I was actually one of the younger people in the audience, but dont let this put you off seeing it. It is a good film. Perfect length, well moving. Its a good film. It was 5pm by this point and I headed back to bus station for bus home. It was due at 5.40. Now at 5.25 I saw a tweet from Glasgow Warriors reminding people the Club International at Millbrae started at 7.30 and made me think, can I get there. A minute later an Ayr Express bus came in which meant yes I could go. I got on bus and put on facebook I was going to game and see if anybody else was. I got a reply yes big Jim was, so I arranged a lift back home.
I got to Ayr and thought the bus to alloway was 615, I was wrong. The bus was 6.50, wait time. Got to Millbrae at 7.05. Couldnt get in main stand, it was full already. Went around side to other side of the pitch and stood over there. It was a great game and really enjoyed it and finally met up with Mark and Jim and went home. After a long day I stayed in for rest of night. Next morning I woke up early (typical) and headed to rugby club around 12.30 for 3pm kick off. Both teams were to be at home. I got both sets of waterbottles filled and ready. At 1.30 is when you get thing after thing after thing to do, which you cant really deal with. It was going to be a busy day. It didnt help half the 1st XV didnt come before kick off to pay subs. It was about 1.40 I thought it going to be one of those days. At 2pm I finally got to getting changed and for game and went down. At 2.45 we hadnt seen the referee appointed for this game, so I went and checked he was in the club, I had met him before. If you want to see how the game went read MY match report, David couldn't do it this week. After the game because I didnt have chance to make notes during game I did the match report then. During this I was asked to put main projector on in main hall. I reminded them there was a function in there that night, but put it on and sound desk working in a few minutes. The Wales game finished and I had just finished doing my match report and putting it online and emailed. Put sounddesk away again and the party came in and finally ate my pasta from after game. I tried to relax in bar now, I went home around 730 tired. From 1.20pm to 5.40pm I didn't really stop. I knew I was going to have a long day on Sunday, so after eating more dinner I went to be for about 90 minutes. I got back up before 10pm and watched England vs Wales as I had recorded it. Before I knew it, it was 11.30. did a couple of things on computer and went to bed at fairly good time. Sunday I woke up about 8am, had breakfast and got scotland shirt on
At about 9am I headed out to discover Auchinleck Train Station bridge was closed again to traffic. I took a quick walk upto junction and got bus to Kilmarnock at 9.20am. We got to Killie 10.05 and waited for Glasgow bus at 10.30. It was another quiet bus and we got to Buchanan Bus Station about 11.10am. I then headed across to Queen Street Station. I had some lunch then got in the quee for Edinburgh trains. It was a long one. We all somehow all got through it first go. The train came 11.45 and everyone got on. It was standing room only when I got on. It took about an hour from that point until we got off. I was glad when we got there. I can understand why I use buses to goto Edinburgh, NO STANDING. Next time thats the plan again BUSES! I had arranged to try and meet friends in pub in Edinburgh, only trouble was I didnt know where the street the gave me was. I wasnt getting any 3G or HDSPA in lots of edinburgh. I couldnt always text as well. So I headed across to Murrayfield and found Murrayfield Hotel and relaxed before game. I saw my friends when the game was about starting.
The game was about to start and I finally had phone reception but they had problems in club with projector as people were going to be watching it there. I gave advice over text (I wasn't going to hear them) and how to do what I had done on Saturday. They finally enjoyed the game at the club as well, phew. We all know what happenned in the game eventually. I hope everyone recovers from the game. After the game I eventually got to Haymarket train station about 535pm and got in an almost empty (at this point) Queen Street train. My neck was needing a break and I got a seat straight away. It was good. 3 French men sat at the table as well a couple of minutes later, so I just listened to music. By the time the train left for Glasgow people were standing. I can say all the people involved had the people travelling to and from the game very well, which would be essential with a sell out at murrayfield. I got my twitter working again on the train back and saw a tweet from Catriona Shearer about the Scotland Sun and martin saying it isnt online, so as I am in scotland I said when I got to Glasgow I would buy one. So when I got to Glasgow I bought 1. It is on page 35 if you bought it yesterday in Scotland and it was a great read. I dont want to break copyright by putting it on here, but its worth a look. I said I enjoyed it and martin and Catriona acknowledged this, YEAH! I went down to Kilmarnock on quiet but and then Cumnock. I passed the rugby Club and the outside lights were still on, so when I got off bus, I headed over to club and got them switched off. I then relaxed for the rest of the night. I got emailed most the reports I needed and said I would do them this morning. So on our website we now have p4/5 report, p6/7 report, s1/2 report and 2nd Xv paragraph. So now its a day of relaxing. You all take care out there and see you soon. So you all probably see my busy period is during the weekend, not the week. Thomas

rugby and stuff

Hello I know its been a while since I have been here, so felt I had better do an update. 1. The Background, with me sometimes working on Currentbunsuk I have been capturing various ladies around there. There now on the background of this blog, covering STV, Daybreak, BBC Scotland, BBC London and other parts of BBC. I hope you like them
Right, I have just been kept busy with rugby as usual. I have still been working on developing any style I may use during games when refereeing. On the official role on the committees I have had a few good things over the past few days. On Saturday the 1st XV won. It was great to see a great performance by us and get the result we deserve and needed. I just want it to continue. The minis also played well on the Sunday, which I liked as well. On Monday Tober gave me the job of contacting the Scottish Rugby Union about a mistake on the league table. I had spotted they had gave us 2 bonus points, but it was actually 3 we had. This meant for one we moved from bottom to 2nd bottom. I had atleast 3 people like it on facebook. Thankfully John from SRU sorted out the problem that day, so thank you John.
The second one was with Nick Rougvie, Head of Media Ops & Public Relations at Scottish Rugby Union. In mid December I got a message from Alex Dunsmuir from the club they wanted to speak to me. I got an email from Nick asking how we as a club use social media and for some reason he came to our club and as the webmaster he got me. I am thinking all the clubs in scotland and he heads for Cumnock RFC (nowhere near the top). Glasgow Warriors did help with the interacting they have done with the club, so a big thanks to them. It made it very easy for me to demonstrate the link between our club members (local and international), our pro club and even scotland team. We got in the post and it came to our committee meeting last night and I smiled again. It's on page 3, so if you receive Teamtalk magazine, check it out. On Sunday I am #backingblue and heading to Murrayfield to see Scotland vs France. I havent actually seen France live, but I am looking forward to it. I hope Stuart Hogg does well. I will try and not talk too much about rugby now but if you want to see my news item (mostly mine, apart from 2nd XV part) click this link Right what else have I been upto, not a lot really. Really enjoying NCIS, NCIS:LA and Hawaii 5-0 and we really coming upto WWE Wrestlemania at start of April. On Sunday I saw a band I think called Dreamcaster
The audio doesn't give justice to the playing and singing, they are very good. I hope you all like them. Well all of you take care and probably see you about.

It's Tuesday

Well how are we all. I know it been a couple of weeks since I properly blogged. Well I am still in the pursuit of new tunes to kill at karaoke, or atleast get the words in the right bit, so that is the latest video. Well some of the jokes I have been reading have been better, but unfortunately they dont go on here. So it's two weeks since I was here. In that time I overtook the 30,000 tweets barrier. The quiz I haven't done as much but there is a quiz tomorrow night at the club. I hope the WWE starts to get even more interesting after this weekends royal rumble. I enjoyed it when you couldn't predict what was going to happen, but that hasn't happenned in a while. Yeah Jack Ryder, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk were popular champs (atleast for 1 night). Its getting a bit samey. I am glad NCIS LA has lots of the questions answered abotu Callan and we can get back to what is a great series. Hawaii 5-0 is still great going. I wonder if Steve knows what that girl from cia is upto (I dont think her departure was family related). NCIS Series 9 has slightly changed with Denozo memory problems in first 2 episodes of series 9 (which is expectable). Well a few weeks ago as well my roof has some tiles move. I don't think they have been fixed. I havent seen anybody from the council to fix it. On rugby the first XV still haven't won, but touch judging was fun on Saturday. This is the table.
It was also good to see rugby starting properly back up on Sundays with some of the older ones. The previous couple of weeks I just did an hours and a bit training and that was basically it. On Sunday we had midday and 2pm kick offs at Broomfield. It was my turn for bar as well. I hope all the Smith Family are as well as can expected after funeral today. I am still trying to learn even more about rugby the now, but that might have to wait for a future blog. My biggest pain of the week last week was roadworks. On the Tuesday we had Auchinleck Train Station, Auchinleck Road, Cumnock and at Lugar Street Cumnock. 5 minutes on a bus became 15 minutes. Not my favourite thing. Bye for now, even comment if you want to.

Rugby and the weekend

Well after not having my computer all day, I decided to do a blog at this time of night. Saturday I was away upto Hamilton for rugby. Hamilton won 24 - 19, but we had lots of good performances during the game. Here are some videos taken on my phone, I need to show zoom to that particular person So we came back to Cumnock, I headed home for dinner and a bath and went back down to club. Here is a photo from Saturday night from Bonus Ball.
Saturday was busy up the street as well with Vendetta on. Didnt do much over there though. I also recorded Sportscene and yes the Auchinleck Talbot goal WAS ONSIDE, the assistant referee was wrong! Sunday I had 2 rugby things, but it wasnt a bad day. I now have in the past few weeks a couple of new tunes. No Regrets by Dappy. It was a surprise I wanted the Robbie Williams version, but suddenly got dappy, that was a very quick read. On Sunday I added Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO but I really need a good female singer to do the lady parts of the song. I just let the background run, I really need help for that one. So today I got up a discovered that my broadband wouldn't work. I checked my phone, the line was dead. I used my mobile and phoned talktalk automated fault line and phoned the council incase they paid me a visit because of no signal. I wasn't the only one in Auchinleck with this problem. I went to co-op later and they had no phone lines. Also with no wifi at home it meant not a lot was working. There was an auto divert for phonecalls to my mobile, but facebook, twitter, cumnock rfc website, email I couldn't use. Lets just say I have caught up on a lot of television today, I did like Wendy Hurrell documentary on a dry December on BBC1 London on Inside Out. I also got through NCIS LA, Hawaii 5-0 and 1st Sherlock and STV Rugby. Good luck to all the injured players. Last live programme I watched tonight was Scotland Tonight with John Mackay, he had a very challenging interview with 4 politicians, all at once. I felt sorry for John there. Tuesday will be the normal Tuesday with going to Cumnock after watching WWE Raw. You all have a good week.

followfriday for 2011

Now I am doing a special followfriday blog for all the people who you really should follow. Firstly I am going to start with Fatbuzz, apart from their outtake video they have taught me a lot about social media including facebook, twitter which I use in all the organisations I use. I even have 2 QR codes for my facets, pity not many people read them. So even though I haven’t done the breakfast in a while I still do listen. So you can thank them for my other projects with CumnockRFC and CumnockTCs. Threefromleith gives me great tunes from a whole load of sources and Grant’s stories and quite good. They must take him some time to script. His podcasts sound nothing like my youtube videos or audioboos/soundclouds. Keep up the good work Grant. I finish the podcasts with thethumbcast who are funny, generally talk sense. BUT it is not for children. Now the first person you should follow who freely gives advice out and has a couple of thousand followers but still answers people, tourscotland. Sandy is the best. I used to list jokes on my blog but after some advice I do not. My blog is slightly more child friendly. If you want to know anything about Scotland Sandy probably knows the answer, or someone who does. The only celebrity I know really listens to my alternative point of view is John Mackay from STV News. As you will discover I cap several female presenters on currentbunsuk website but I nearly never get replies from any of them. John embraced social media even more this year and I get replies quite a lot, as much as my other followers. So Mr Anchorman thank you. Unfortunately for John Current Buns is for women. The next logical step is currentbuns. Back at the start of the year after I had got sky and years of seeing these caps and asked tgoatcapper (Michael) how I should do it. I did plan to buy a dvd recorder so I can put them on DVDs and cap from there, but I never got round to that. So I basically (much to some derision of some friends) I take videos from iplayer/stvplayer/youtube and make stills of them. So that is why I was classified as the New Scottish one who does BBC London (which is live) and Scotland. I realise Tgoat does a lot of other areas and his quality is a lot better so mine wouldn’t be used. It also helped (me) when BBC London changed it format and got travel and weather done by same person in mornings, which not everyone likes. I would talk about some of the people I cap, but I don’t think they will read this anyway. There would be 1 exception to the above being Hannah Bayman who is a weather presenter/reporter in Newcastle and has in the past replied to me. It was Paul Mooney I met when I bought the Look North CIN calendar. Martin who runs the site must get bored with me tweeting him I have caps of a particular person. I have never met the guys, but there 2 of the best I know. One other thing Tgoat runs a blog as well, which drives quite a lot of traffic to my blog, so thank you again. Now one of the things I like to do is interacting with others, that is where by #ff is based. I like replies to tweets. To that end the Ayrshire massive get some mentions. Acw86 _Alexham Weeyin13 Sunnythesurf Tookiebunten (and a bit further) EmployedJo Thank you. There is a pile others I know I have forgot, I know that, my apologies. I hope you all out there have a great Hogmanay, mines looks as if it will include a lot of Cumnock RFC stuff. There is also a pile of people I know as mates out there that have started using twitter, but I want to see how they get on with it. Bye from me the now. So if you don’t follow me I am Thomasc1973 on twitter, but I will check if you just try to sell me stuff (the accounts on locked), I am picky now.

Well the weekend

Well lets go through last weekend. Here is the link to my facebook photos. I aint loading them twice. Wednesday started with going over to Ian's and giving him his 40th birthday present. On Thursday at the sun he sang tunes all night and I think had fun.
Friday I was around club with BT engineers and just chilling up in TC's later. I had fun that night. Worst bit was going to taxi office later than usual and so getting closing time rush, but we got home for a very good price. Saturday was my 38th birthday. I wrapped more xmas presents for Cumnock and then headed across to Asda for shopping and see minis bagpacking. I then got taxi home via precinct and watched some Heineken Cup at home. At 5.40 I finished watching Glasgow Warriors draw and headed down to rugby club for raffle and pre xmas parties. Had a bit of fun until I had to work in the bar for a short period (I didn't want to be doing bar, but got no choice for a short time). I am glad I didnt join the drinking games that was going on. At 9pm I headed upto Tc's and Vendetta were on. Got their 1st set and saw rugby mates over in royal before heading back across to TC's to see end. I got chineese after leaving but fell on ice (I hate that stuff), I didn't bruise myself. I got home at my usual time. Saturday was different to the usual Saturday. Sunday I got up at 10am. Got some stuff done before I had some visitors. I went across to Catrine for rugby training and that was good. Rab Donald gave me a new chair for the living room, he even pulled the heavy bit up my stairs.
Around 4pm I headed across to Royal Hotel In Cumnock for dinner. The lentil soup was very warm and not skinny. I then had roast beef with potatoes and veg and yorkshire pudding. I was going to have a sweet, but I was actually full. On Monday I saw mum again, got some things from her's and headed home before schools finished for day. At night I went to committee meeting at club.
