Wet Wet Wet 20th July 2012
hello, well Friday night I went upto Wet Wet Wet at Glasgow Green.
I left at 3.45 fae Auchinleck and got to Buchanan Bus Station 5.15. I got a taxi out to Glasgow Green which was £5.20 I knew at this point the last train was 11.15 from Glasgow Central and it could be close.
I got down to the gig and ran into some mates who went "why are you here", (I hadn't told them) and I go silly question, they asked how I got up, bus and I asked "how are you going back", they drove so got a lift home (great, no trains which I would have missed or night bus and £30 taxi to get home).
Raintown started first at 5.45pm roughly (that was me just there). They won a competition on Real Radio (which I don't get easily unless I use computer). They were very good and a great start to the night. The take aways were about £5 which wasnt that bad. I didn't head to beer tent (lots did which meant VERY LONG WAITS).
Red Sky July were a good county band and wernt bad but it kept the pace going which was very good.
James Walsh finished the warm up acts and he was very good (from Starsailor).
We got Wet Wet Wet at 8.45, they had fireworks and whole stage of graphics, big televisions and Marti and the boys were amazing. If you want a large review on the gig, go someone else. What I do think I think there will be a DVD of the gig (or there should be). The gig finished just after 11pm. Here are my photos from the gig:-
I also did a video of American Pie
The other thing I am going to say Kelly Ann Woodland was reporting from the gig at 6.15pm on STV News and I took a photo of her. I thought Mrs Woodland looked about 5ft 3in and me being 6ft 3in would look tall and I wimped out of asking to get a photo with her. I didn't not know she would be there reporting. I tweeted the picture to currentbunsuk which martin retweeted (cheers) and this morning I have done some caps from Kelly Ann piece on STV News.
So it was a great night. I got to sleep after 2am after a great night.

July - the month ahead
This is my lovely look north weather calendar with I bought from Paul Mooney in Carlisle and this is what is on it this month.
Well we start with this Saturday, the 7th July and when I goto see Peter Andre and headliners Steps at hamilton Races. On Tuesday their live album appeared on spotify, so I have been geeting ready for it by listening to it and making plans to get their and back (easier than actually doing).
Monday 9th the Rugby Club S2 team have a tea bingo in St Johns Chapel Hall. Tickets £1.00. I might even volunteer to help them. I haven't got a lot of prizes for them or play bingo.
Friday 13th (yeah I know) has the club Annual General Meeting and i hope we get lots of people there.
Next from the Saturday I am going through to see Mum and Andy in Fife at their new home. i haven't actually been to it yet, and this is about the only time I have been able to pencil in.
On Friday 20th I am going to Glasgow Green to see Wet, wet, wet and I am old enough to remember them. Its going to be fun.
Wednesday 25th July is a busy one. Frank and me are going to Sorn Inn (as long as it is open) for lunch. In the evening its the Cumnock RFC Quiz, here is hoping we get back to our winning ways.
Next day is the Olympic Football at Hampden for Spain game. I think I might need to head to Glasgow early especially with all the security precautions being set up. I hope I see some superstars in the Spanish team.
Friday 27th July is a quite morning/afternoon followed by at the opening of Auchinleck Festival and Jai McDowall is the main artist in Auchinleck Indoor bowling club, just down the bottom of the street (easy to walk home then).
So I am going to be busy then. Remember my twitter is on public (which is getting me more replies) so follow me @thomasc1973 but spammers I don't follow or I may even block so don't bother. You can scan my QR code as well.

So whats been happening
Well I had better catch up with you guys and girls. firstly my twitter is on open most of the time now, so follow me @thomasc1973
Last week BBC Iplayer changed its live feed to go back 2 hours. It means I can pause it and not have to rush through to get 6/8 images when I can take my time and get the right ones and about double the amount.
Thankfully we are getting nearer summer so I like the outfits.
I went and saw
Prometheus 3d, I didn't realise before I went it was the prequel to Alien. I wouldn't say it's a bad movie, but I picked the wrong one for me. It is a 15.
On Sunday we had at the club our awards day for the youth, that was a long day. From being there about 930am until finishing doing stuff at about 4pm, I was kept busy.
We set up marquee after the grass had been cut on Thursday was up quite early. We got the sound desk sorted out by about 1045, so I was happy when we finished that, even if the boys switched the power off when I was working on it. I got the last bit of bacon for my roll as all the other coaches had got their first (typical me). I did enjoy my coffee in peace as well though.
The micros had a great game and we started selling raffle tickets. David, me and couple of boys sold them during the touch games. After we all came back up I went back to sound desk and played some tunes, which I could accept everyone could listen to.
Payphone by Maroon 5 has a non clean version, which when I heard it, changed to the clean version.
Then I got to get everyone to come up and get their bbq food, by telling people where to go. Afterwards Harry did some interviewing of some the crowds there. We then got to the awards and that part very well, I even got in a photo I was happy to be in, unfortunately you arent getting it on here, join our website and if you are allowed you can view them there.
When we got to the raffle Rab Donald was shouting up the winners of raffle prizes, but he was a bit quiet, not a problem I have so I took the other mic and did some more work on the mic, that was fun while getting rab to get people drawing tickets. Sunday wasn't a bad day.
On the concert front I have all my tickets for Steps (this morning), Wet Wet Wet and Football at Hampden in July.
This afternoon I am having lunch with Frank in between Coalhall and Colyton. Check the map on this. I had better say I am glad that Mr John Laurinitis was sacked.

Lots of Kilmarnock and Cumnock
Hello everyone, hope you are all good. OK the last thing you all got was Tommy Bowe. Well after that we had the Dinner Dance at the Dumfries Arms and I took a short video of who was getting presented what.
Campbell is the captain now so I hope for great things with him. We are starting in West Division 4 next season but I have made it clear I wont be around training on Tuesdays and Thursdays for seniors. I know what I want to do now and with the team of coaches around the seniors that means I can focus on something else.
On the 2nd of June I went to Kilmarnock Dirty weekender where the Lafontaines were playing and a number of others. I had great fun but waiting around an hour for my taxi home wasn't great, but it did help clear my head for rugby the next day.
Moving onto Friday there I went back to Kilmarnock to see the #olympictorch. Now I had put my twitter on public and got somebody asking for a 200 word blog on it, I don't think they used it so here it is
Cheesy started the night and he was great, I loved his set. I also enjoyed Joe Deacon and QFX. Now because I had rugby next day and had enough partying I left unfortunately before Colin Mcardle. I did feel the benefit the next morning.
Sunday I went away to Kilmarnock for rugby. Kilmarnock Mini Festival was on. Now Rab, David and me were coaching with Cumnock P4 (tartancat, IT WASN'T FOOTBALL) and the boys never lost a game and we won the tournament. Lets just say I was very happy for the performances they put in.
As for future plans I have bought a ticket to olympic football at Hampden and now I have to say I am seeing Steps and Wet, Wet, Wet in July.
Everyone have a great time out there.

So the Olympic torch has been through Kilmarnock and it was a great event and might just get more people interested in the olympics this year. I got there very early, 10am and there wasn’t a lot about then. I went back around 11am and they started putting the cones out. Initially I thought it would be for the torch to go along that way, but quickly it became apparent they were for the crowds that were expected and they needed it. Now I use twitter and was keeping upto date to see where the torch was. I already knew it was going down to new running track, but didn’t realise it would take as long, even the people beside me wanted to know. The first set of buses came 5 minutes before the torch which I wish wasn’t that long between them. So when the 2nd set of transport came and they closed John Finnie Street to traffic I got my video going. The Torchbearer wasn’t walking and kept a good pace along a long street. Everyone was cheering and some of the younger ones tried to keep up. It was great to see.I also took a video Then Saturday night I was at Cumnock Town hall for Cumnock Music Festivals first night.

story on @tommybowe14 and Men In Black 3
Hello, well Tommy Bowe came yesterday and I was down quiet early. The team with Tommy wanted a photo with School of Rugby, which they got and somebody after the Q&A said I should get a photo. Tober took the photograph of me and Tommy on my phone after a quick lesson.
As I said in Instagram it was Tommy (me) and Tommybowe
After that we were back at the club and I left club after 8pm. Unfortunately some of the senior players came down at 6pm, just after Tommy left.
Today I collected my Kilt and gear for tomorrow (it was heavy) and I have been and seen Men In Black 3 at Kilmarnock.
Will Smith in interviews was right about the end, I was surprised.
Tonight is AGM for Micro/Mini/Midi so I am heading there soon.
Hope you like this short blog.
Bye for now.

You know that last blog, well @tommybowe14 beat it
Hello guys, you remember you read a blog from me yesterday about this week in rugby, well on Monday that got overtaken completly.
Cumnock RFC Article.
On the Monday night at committee meeting we discussed Tommy Bowe coming to Cumnock Rugby Club coming THIS THURSDAY.
So lets say after the meeting that night I drafted an email for distribution this morning and article for this event. I did facebook "Coming This Thursday to @cumnockrfc, @tommybowe14.
I got texts, DM's, facebook messages from that much.
After going to bed around midnight I got up this morning and just around 9am I got my final version which is on this link from Tober.
This morning after that I did the usual twitter, facebook, email, intergrated message system on pitchero and printed some posters.
After that I put my posters up for a small while today (and enjoying sunshine).
So lets just say, I AM EXCITED ABOUT THURSDAY!
So apologies to anybody else wanting the usual stuff I do on the internet, Martin, Michael and John, I am having far too much fun at the moment.

This coming week for me @cumnockRFC
Hello everyone, I know I usually don't do rugby too much here, but I am going to make an exception this time and tell you of what is happening around club for me the now, as the webmaster.
Yesterday (Sunday) I went down to Irvine and watched our minis playing Irvine and Kilmarnock. I did the primary 4/5 Report as it was quickly arranged the format of games because of the number of players. Then I went back to Cumnock around 11pm and got back as the teams were leaving from s1/2 game. I have to thank them for not needing me during their game. I was then on bar until 8.20pm. I then went out and enjoyed Sonix a bit and seeing Katie, my niece.
This morning I had all my match reports and I put them on line. I especially liked Parkie's Report and comments on the bottom.
I have also emailed them all into Cumnock Chronicle now, so thats another deadline met. I really appreciate when coaches email me the reports quickly and not after 9am on Mondays, so cheers to Alan, David, Morton and Parkie for speeding sending.
Now tonight I have last main committee meeting before Annual General Meeting, thats after Liz Smith's fitness class finishes (no I don't do it).
Tomorrow I have somebody checking my boiler at home, so stuck in the morning. Still got the Royal Quiz at night though.
Wednesday has a visit to Stuart with video. We also have a quiz in rugby club Wednesday night, which starts at 8.15pm and £150 can still be won. I keep on getting asked by the coaches to join their team, but I am staying with Rodger, Jim, Barclay and the rest of my team.
Thursday I have my usual stuff to do in morning and evening more training at 6.30 and seeing as everyone starts then, I dont need to head down 5.45 on bus.
Friday during the day is quiet but at night we have the Micro/Mini/Midi AGM in club at 7pm, followed by a committee meeting.
Saturday during the day, we don't have any games for seniors (there finished for now) but at night is the Dinner Dance at Dumfries Arms, Tober (the president) is still selling tickets for it.
I have hired a kilt from Kenny's in Cumnock for this. This also means I wont be going to Soundclash at TC's or Vendetta in The Sun. It also means as it's in the Dumfries Arms I will enjoy it, I know who top try scorer is (who gets a prize) is Campbell Reid as try scorers is my area (especially for website).
Next Sunday there is training, phew!
So thats why I say I am the webmaster of Cumnock RFC. Below is the QR Code for Cumnock RFC.
